unlawful for any person owning a dog to permit such dog at any time to be in or upon any public street or in or upon any public place or upon the lands of any person without the consent of the owner of such lands or to permit such dog at any time to run at large in the town unless such dog shall be led by a leash in the hands of a person capable of leading and controlling such dog. Any such dog which shall be in violation of this subsection may be taken into custody and impounded and thereafter redeemed or destroyed It sounds like it's allowed to be without a leash on the owner's property, but I'm not sure what the sentence in bold means. | |

| ![]() It's a shame for anyone to have to go through what you are going through because of irresponsible pet owners. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Princes mom- Wow that's terrible, this situation isn't that bad because the owner is at work a lot, so the dog is inside unless my next door neighbor gets him. The biggest issue is I have no idea when he's home or the dog's out. This is actually the 2th time I've had to deal with a nasty dog. The first was a dog my other next door neighbor had when I was little. I'm not sure what breed it was but it was huge and nasty, that dog is the reason why we have the privacy fence. It was kept in a chain link fenced yard but it could have easily jumped or climbed the fence. |
