| Tyson chases everything, he really loves to chase lizards, but the birds....oh god the birds. Just last week, he alerted to go outside. I opened the sliding door and he flew out the door. I just knew there was a bird on the lawn...he can't stand that. So, I was standing on the patio and he raced across the yard and absolutely ran over a baby blue jay. Apparently the Jay was just learning to fly, cause he could get off the ground but not stay up. Tyson looked so surprised that he actually touched a bird. The bird started squawking at him and puffing up his feathers. Well, Tyson was still trying to kiss him but the mama and poppa blue jays had different ideas. They came swooping down and hitting Tyson on the back. I was hysterical....calling Tyson to me, but he didn't know what to do...he was screaming...I was screaming! I couldn't just go snatch him up because the baby was between me and Tyson (and I certainly didn't want to get attacked! ). He finally ducked low and came running in the door. Well, after the baby finally got over the fence I took a walk about through the yard with Tyson. Poor thing, every time he went out after that he would stick his head out the door and look both ways...

| Piccolo barks at squirrels, but her real enemies are flies. She becomes a totally different dog, if there is one buzzing around. I do try to get the fly out of the house before it becomes her target, then eaten. Yuck. Honestly, I can't say "she wouldn't hurt a fly" around here. ![]() ![]()

My big boy, Shelby-Dale, chases everything (squirrels, birds, insects, lizards..). Mandie will join in to help him sometimes when he's going after a chipmunk under the storage shed or something, but for the most part she doesn't really go after anything.

| It's strange, Luma's alltime favorite game is probably where I put my hand under a blanket and move it around. She goes nuts trying to hunt and catch my fingers. So funny. She also loves to chase cat toys. But once outside she has never once noticed a bird, squirrel, cat, lizard....she is either really unobservant or tries to act tougher than she really is. Rosie is quiet and observes from a distance but never attacks. She's probably the calmest puppy I've ever seen. She thinks things out. Luma is the bold one.

| Barney chases bugs. He eyes lizards, frogs, and other small prey but then shrinks back when they move. Anna will attack anything. She is fearless. The other day in the yard Barney eyed an injured bird. He ran to get it, but stood a few feet away. Anna pounced. I screamed like an idiot. I rescued the bird and put it in a bird house in our yard. My son was at the door watching. When we walked in, he said, "You realize a snake will probably get it." I smacked him in the gut. (Don't worry, he is more than twice my size and it was a very light smack.)

| Out of all of the yorkies (fosters included) Uni is the fastest one, but she doesn't really have a high prey drive. She prefers toys. Toto is crazy about balls, and he barks at anyone while on a walk, people, kids laughing, the heavy equipment from the construction out back, etc, etc. but out of all of them Scrappy was the one with the highest prey drive. When he finally noticed mil parakeets, omg he would not stop barking at the cage. I took him away and he was like dying to go back. He wanted to eat them so bad. Only one time Uni tried to get a cricket. It was cute. And once for some reason she tried to pick a fight with water gushing out of the rain gutters from the roof during a heavy downpour. I took her out to pee in her raincoat and Epik boots to stay dry. Well she attacked the water, and she ended up soaking wet!

| Cookie chases squirrels, lizards, and birds in the yard, but gets distracted very quickly (she is 17 weeks old and 4-4.5 lbs). Minnie was a master hunter (11-12 lbs); she regularly caught birds and squirrels, and would snap their necks in one jerk. Minnie generally acted like she was about a 120 lb rottweiler.

| Huey caught, brought inside & proceded to shake violently a baby bird that landed on our deck. I was almost in tears trying to get it away from him! He is a great bug hunter. He loves moths and crunchy flying bugs, but the funniest thing I have seen is when he was trying to play with an ant. Yes, a tiny tiny little black ant. He would paw at it then jump back like it was gonna get him back. He also loves to "hunt" his squeeky toys.

| Blazer is a hunter. At least, once he figures out that there is something to hunt, he is! Yesterday he and my GSP worked together and killed a chipmunk in my neighbors' garage (there is another one that they've been trying to get but that one is a little smarter, it seems!) Today Blazer and his mom killed a mouse in my neighbors' living room. Every once in a while Blazer will try to catch birds. He definitely wants to get chipmunks and squirrels. I am pretty sure that he'd go after bunnies if he was given the chance, too. He is rather skiddish around cats, though. Of course, all of the cats he knows are around 20 pounds and he's only 7 pounds!
