I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Well, maybe they have really cute clothes. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist it. Truthfully, I'd rather have someone buy from a pet store than over the internet, the dogs sold at pet stores have to have some type of federal inspections and do have to abide by state laws, and while these are often minimal, at least it's better than nothing. Breeders, who sell directly to public, don't need any type of license, and these type of breeders have the most inhumane type of conditions. Authorities could charge them with animal abuse, but since they aren't even required to have a license, there is no record of a kennel. So unless someone actually sees the kennel and reports it, nothing can be done. They are trying to pass a law that will close this loop hole, but right now, pet stores are still safer than buying over the internet.

| Well guess what? Yelp removed my review AGAIN for this Puppy Store place. I got this email this morning: "We wanted to let you know that we've removed your review of The Puppy Store. Our Support team has determined that it falls outside our Content Guidelines (Content Guidelines | Yelp) because it is not primarily relevant to a consumer experience. When reviewing, please describe your actual experience with a business. We hope you will continue to participate on Yelp while keeping our Content Guidelines in mind." My review: This place is pretending to be a rescue. It's not. You can go to the shelter and adopt one of these types of dogs for around a $100 or less, yet these people are selling dogs (probably also from the shelter) for hundreds more! If this place was ONLY rescue dogs, I might believe it. But the fact they sell puppies (mixed breeds at that) from out of state, and non AKC registered, screams to me they are from puppymills. Not only that, the other merchandise is overpriced, the staff does not greet you, and if you buy anything from shops that sell puppies you are supporting them and in turn puppymills. I was actually IN the store. Just bc I didn't spend money there means I don't have a legit review? There are plenty of places that I haven't spent money but know that I wouldn't do business with them, and certainly enough to write a review! Out of all my reviews, only the ones about pet shops that sell dogs have been removed. Hmmmm.

| This has just recently come to light in our local news...and to top it all off, there has been notices of 3 "missing" yorkies in our small town in recent months. This is very concerning to me, 1 of them was from the block right behind our house. Needless to say, Winston is NEVER let outside alone. Just a reminder to spay and neuter your pups and have them micro chipped.

| I think this flipping business was the reason petfinder stopped their pet classified section. Good for them!!

| This is another excellent reason to microchip your dog! If it evber happens to you and your pet, and you are able to find your pup, it makes proving the dog belongs to YOU, a lot easier! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That's the main reason I microchiped Joey, I saw too many Lassie movies in the past where they ended up in a court trying to "prove" who was the real owner. Lol, Joey would go to anyone who had food!
