| ![]() Coco does not look like a Silky at all. Not to mention the cottony coat. Size is not an indicator of breed.

![]() Exactly what I was going to say. Silkys and yorkies actually look quite different if they are well bred. But the head shape is the most distinctive feature to me. I always wonder why so many people ask if yorkies are silkys, esp since silkys aren't even that popular. Yorkies are much more popular. I've never even seen a silky in person before.

| ![]() My daughter has a silky, and where there are a lot of traits that resemble a yorkie he honestly has a different look. Yours looks all yorkie to me.

| ![]() 11 lbs is large but by no means huge for a yorkie. I think I'd trust your AKC registration over your groomer.

| ![]() Definitely all yorkie! I get that a lot with Mr. Bucket since he is a 12lb Yorkie. People just assume if they aren't tiny they are silky. Anyways yorkie or silky you will love them the same ![]()

| ![]() Probably since Wikipedia says yorkies max out at 7 lbs. I know before I found this site and really learned about the history of the yorkshire terrier breed I always wondered if Minnie was really full yorkie at 11-12 lbs.
