| What a special little soul Huey is. I love it when Teasell will jump into my lap and just stay their. Does not happen but maybe once a day and at choice. She has so much discovering to do at almost 4 years young |

| I love the pic and how Huey can sense her needs. My folks are in their mid 80's and Lola acts the same around them, dropping her toy inches from my mom's feet which drives my mom crazy since she can not bend down that easily. So I am nervous because tomorrow we will find out how Lola does on Nursing home visits. I just became a volunteer at a local facility. Lola is not a lap dog but LOVES attention. Today I walked around the various floors, they even have a lock down Alzheimer's floor which they want me to visit. My husband is nervous that Lola will get hurt, but I don't plan to leave her on any ones lap unless I am holding her and very close by. I am hoping Lola's keen senses sort of lead her to behave the right way.

, he started to slide off. I saw her grab one of his legs and my heart dropped, but she got a hand around his body before what I was seeing actually registered in my brain so I move in that direction. Whew...I do think many dogs are attuned to special needs and pick up on what behavior to exhibit in certain circumstances, even if they act like little heathens the rest of the time.

| Oh, that is wonderful!! Some dogs just know when to make that connection & who knows their reasons? It's a very healing thing. I volunteer with special needs adults, many of whom are non-verbal, autistic & such. Lexie is always with me, so she cuddles up with the most shy and debilitated people. it doesn't seem like a chore to her at all, as long as they are physically gentle. As a matter of fact, as soon as I get off the freeway exit to go there, she starts barking & bouncing around knowing where she's going. So excited! It's a Lexie Love-fest!
