| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This is such a sad story. Despite the fact she was ill though, she was still responisble for this dog's death. She had the presence of mind to get a hotel room, so there is no way she could convince me she wasn't thinking at all...she was.

| Oh I agree, I'm sure she had a plan, until she passed out. Then, let's arrest her first and put her on 1 MILLION dollars bail (never that high in this state, even for the guy who threw the GF's yorkie off the balcony (intentional)). Then she gets medical attention, but is released, and falls into a coma, and dies 2 weeks later. The Judge remarks (re: the woman's death), when her 92 year old Mother went to court to clear her daughter of the charges, 'That's one way to avoid proscecution', not realizing the woman's family was in the room! If she knew she was going to pass out (become unconscious), I don't think she would have been driving. She did not realize how sick she was, must have been feeling bad, got the room and may have intended on going back to see her Mother, or have her pups boarded. IDK. Her Mom stated she loved her dogs dearly... leaving them in the car to die was not an intentional act, it was an unfortunate accident due to the woman being ill and passing out. I would think that an employee of the hotel would have noticed the dogs were in the car... 20 hours, 3 shifts and lunch/breaks... someone had to have seen them... even another guest in the hotel. IDK... maybe more facts will surface in the near future.
