| My yorkie had puppies on Father's Day I am a happy grandma of 3 girls and 3 boys! Wow, she had a large litter. My Annie is not registered, Buddy is. I know I can't register them and I am very unsure of what to charge! I weighed them at one week and compared to the growth chart here they should range from 4 to 6 pounds grown. Anyone have any idea what I would charge? I don't want to get rich quick (laughs) but I do want them to go to a home where they will be loved and well taken care of. They are so cute and sweet!!! |

| Can't help on how much to ask for them, but I would say without papers the best thing to do is make sure they are going to great forever homes and with a spay and neuter contract. Glad you had a safe whelp and all are doing well.

| I'd go along the lines of covering the costs to get them their shots, feed them (when the time comes), and provide for them/mama, etc; Kind of like what shelters do, and definitely include a spay/neuter contract. Please post pictures!

| Well did you do health testing on the parents and did you know the lines of the parents to know they didn't have genetic illnesses to the pups? If not I would not sell them for much because they could end up with issues later in life. You also need to keep them with there mom until they are 12 weeks old at least.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Search your area and see what unregistered Yorkies go for. There are some people who don't care about the registration paperwork and will more than likely pay a reasonable price if they can get a full blooded Yorkie for under the going price. I am hoping you find them loving caring homes.

| Judging by the backgrounds of the breeding pair I would hope you'd have the good sense to give them away for free to very good homes and get the both spayed. You've only had these pups 7 months, when you got Annie she came with a litter of pups...do you have any idea that what you are doing is wrong?

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I read all this & share Lynzy's huge concerns. To "rescue" these two poor souls and then breed them without knowing diddly about them really bothers me. Dear God, please, spay & neuter them as well as have a contract that will insure the babies have the same done. What happened to Annie's pups that she came to you with? They should also be spayed & neutered. PLEASE, do not continue doing this to those dogs, they've been through enough don't you think? SMH...

| I do not even know what to say......do you understand the ramafications of what has been done with this breeding? You have bred a dog that was "rescued" from a puppy mill, and re-enslaved her. You have taken a male that even a puppy mill found unacceptable to use as a breeder, and you have used him to reproduce puppies for NOTHING other than your financial gain. Then, you have the unmitigated gall to come to a site where members CLAIM to abhorr puppymills and all they represent, and ask how much should you charge for these unfortunate pups. My heart is absolutely breaking for what you have done. I have cried over this for days, unable to even respond. But you know what....maybe you can give the SPCA a super idea...they can do exactly what you have done...they can go bust up and raid and "rescue" abused dogs and shut down puppy mills, take all those dogs, free of charge, bathe them, shave the mats off, set them up in a breeding kennel, and start breeding them for the sole purpose of generating revenue!!!! THAT is exactly what YOU have done....and then you come here where we all "love" our Yorkies and love everybody and dont dare say anything that may offend anyone for anything they do......AND ASK WHAT TO CHARGE FOR YOUR GREED........and you actually get suggestions.......omg........ YT 2000 Club Donating Member | You know one of the first rules of correct breeding is this; Just because a dog "can" be bred doesn't mean they should be bred! If you rescued this dog from a shelter, I know of none that allow intact dogs to be adopted. If you rescued this dog from a private party that DID NOT want that dog bred ever again, then why would you breed these dogs? It is unhighly un-ethical to say the least. Future owners of these pups should be made fully aware of the health status of both parents -(likely unknown) as I can almost guarantee you did not do all the pre-breeding screening tests. Literally you are asking future owners to adopt/buy what could be a health time bomb! In terms of selling these puppies - I would not even consider one for free, from untested parents, with a breeder that seems as un-knowledgeable as yourself.
