My yorkie had puppies on Father's Day I am a happy grandma of 3 girls and 3 boys! Wow, she had a large litter. My Annie is not registered, Buddy is. I know I can't register them and I am very unsure of what to charge! I weighed them at one week and compared to the growth chart here they should range from 4 to 6 pounds grown. Anyone have any idea what I would charge? I don't want to get rich quick (laughs) but I do want them to go to a home where they will be loved and well taken care of. They are so cute and sweet!!! :aimeeyork |
Can't help on how much to ask for them, but I would say without papers the best thing to do is make sure they are going to great forever homes and with a spay and neuter contract. Glad you had a safe whelp and all are doing well. |
Thanks |
Congrats! Sorry, I have no advise for you but post pics please, I love puppy pictures! |

same here/ would love to see pictures |
i would charge about 500.00 |
I'd go along the lines of covering the costs to get them their shots, feed them (when the time comes), and provide for them/mama, etc; Kind of like what shelters do, and definitely include a spay/neuter contract. Please post pictures! :D |
Well did you do health testing on the parents and did you know the lines of the parents to know they didn't have genetic illnesses to the pups? If not I would not sell them for much because they could end up with issues later in life. You also need to keep them with there mom until they are 12 weeks old at least. |
Search your area and see what unregistered Yorkies go for. There are some people who don't care about the registration paperwork and will more than likely pay a reasonable price if they can get a full blooded Yorkie for under the going price. I am hoping you find them loving caring homes. |
Judging by the backgrounds of the breeding pair I would hope you'd have the good sense to give them away for free to very good homes and get the both spayed. You've only had these pups 7 months, when you got Annie she came with a litter of pups...do you have any idea that what you are doing is wrong? |
I just read in the post from back in November, Annie is an older girl. How old????? |
I read all this & share Lynzy's huge concerns. To "rescue" these two poor souls and then breed them without knowing diddly about them really bothers me. Dear God, please, spay & neuter them as well as have a contract that will insure the babies have the same done. What happened to Annie's pups that she came to you with? They should also be spayed & neutered. PLEASE, do not continue doing this to those dogs, they've been through enough don't you think? SMH... |
I do not even know what to say......do you understand the ramafications of what has been done with this breeding? You have bred a dog that was "rescued" from a puppy mill, and re-enslaved her. You have taken a male that even a puppy mill found unacceptable to use as a breeder, and you have used him to reproduce puppies for NOTHING other than your financial gain. Then, you have the unmitigated gall to come to a site where members CLAIM to abhorr puppymills and all they represent, and ask how much should you charge for these unfortunate pups. My heart is absolutely breaking for what you have done. I have cried over this for days, unable to even respond. But you know what....maybe you can give the SPCA a super idea...they can do exactly what you have done...they can go bust up and raid and "rescue" abused dogs and shut down puppy mills, take all those dogs, free of charge, bathe them, shave the mats off, set them up in a breeding kennel, and start breeding them for the sole purpose of generating revenue!!!! THAT is exactly what YOU have done....and then you come here where we all "love" our Yorkies and love everybody and dont dare say anything that may offend anyone for anything they do......AND ASK WHAT TO CHARGE FOR YOUR GREED........and you actually get suggestions.......omg........ You know one of the first rules of correct breeding is this; Just because a dog "can" be bred doesn't mean they should be bred! If you rescued this dog from a shelter, I know of none that allow intact dogs to be adopted. If you rescued this dog from a private party that DID NOT want that dog bred ever again, then why would you breed these dogs? It is unhighly un-ethical to say the least. Future owners of these pups should be made fully aware of the health status of both parents -(likely unknown) as I can almost guarantee you did not do all the pre-breeding screening tests. Literally you are asking future owners to adopt/buy what could be a health time bomb! In terms of selling these puppies - I would not even consider one for free, from untested parents, with a breeder that seems as un-knowledgeable as yourself. |
trying to quote, its not working... |
yorkiemom1 my quoting thing is not working right...but am I the only one who knew something was terribly wrong when I saw the HOW MUCH? I wanted to literally throw up...I'm not condemning those who answered but rather am hoping that in the future they realize that such questions are really giant huge damn RED FLAGS.... I too had to step away from the post..I know I would have been banned...my feet hurt from pacing....I CAN NOT BELIEVE WHAT I AM READING HERE....I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT YT IS BECOMING A SAFE HAVEN FOR BYB'S and Puppy mill hopefuls... I can't pretend to be nicey nice here...this is outrageous. |

The poor babies... it is like out of the frying pan into the fire. I just want to cry...I just pray they go to homes that will care for them and love them and hope you don't make any profit off of them |
I had no idea that these pups were products of rescue animals, that's pretty down right disgusting and low if you ask me. Totally and utterly disgusting, how in the world could someone take these pups with the Promise of giving them a better life only to turn right around and start the nightmare all over again in beyond me. I wish I has know that before responding to this thread. I would never in my life try to help a person who knowingly breed not one but two rescue animals. It so wrong in so many ways and pretty much as low as you can get. |
wow, you make me want to shout really bad words and remove all your dogs from your home. Does the rescue know you've done this and I can't believe they didn't neuter the dog before putting him up for adoption you've got a right bloody cheek to come and ask what to charge for pups add another bad BYB to the bunch. Did you seriously think your post wouldn't stir up anger |
WAIT I KNOW WHY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I have never been so appalled by any posts on here as much as I am this thread...sickening, sleep losing, mind numbing to know that there are people right here asking us for our help...rescue dogs? Rescues take note, Tina Rinkus is rescuing pups and breeding them. People please tag. |
would love to trace the rescues in her area and notify them |

So sad |
Is there nothing that can be done about this? I feel bad for not only the parents but the pups and the future parents of those pups who will have NO IDEA what they are getting into! OP, you've been to this site before. You know better. Why would you do this to those already abused babies? How can you look at yourself in the mirror and be ok..or pick up that mom and dad and be okay with what you did to them. Please, I beg you, please get them spayed and neutered. Just love them and make them happy. That is all these sweet creatures want from us. I just don't understand... |
I can't voice what I really want to. BUT I can say this, What kind of person are you !!!!!! SHAME, SHAME SHAME. |
Please tag this thread for future buyers of these forlorn pups....how sad, my heart aches over this... |
