Sobbing here....4,000,000 healthy pups...my heart breaks...I try so hard to take as many of these arses out as I can, the only way I can...and I know it really isn't even a statistical dot on a spreadsheet...but I have to do something...this is a staggering number,how can people continue to let this happen?

My computers been having problems, so I missed this thread, I just want to say, I'm so proud of all of you and the way you answered this post, hopefully others who are ignorant about breeding will read this and understand why it important to not breed pets and never support backyard breeders. I love you guys!!!!!!

I have to believe that we will all answer for everything we have done in our lives. There are days when that is the only reason to get out of bed.

It's so sad and infuriating there is so much dog overbreeding in this world. And under-educating about overbreeding and euthanasia. If a country is euthanizing millions and millions of dogs a year, wouldn't you think our educational and governmental institutions would be morally led to have started to teach dog/cat responsibility by now? Dogs and cats are such huge parts of the American fabric and they are being so horribly relegated to shelter living alone until killed off in huge numbers, so why can't our learning institutions at least add a 30 minute course a week in schools and college to try to teach our kids and young adults about the pet euthanasia disgrace and make it politically correct to own a pet responsibly and how breeding should be left to the experts for the good of the animals?

I am sad, I am sick, I am disgusted...at the same time I too am so very proud of our members here at YT for seeing through this greeder...way to go people!!! One by one, we as a whole can make a difference and it was shown here in this thread. I am so happy to be just a small, tiny part of this wonderful group of compassionate members of YorkieTalk. Spread the word...we are here to stay.

I walk through a store and I hear Angel by Sarah McLachlan. It makes me cry. I always relate this song to all the cats, dogs, kittens and puppies that are being abuse, malnourished, tossed out of their homes and used in puppy mills and greeders. I can not for the life of me understand how someone can treat a cat or dog this way. She had posted that the female just gave birth again. The poor girl did not even have a rest from her last breed. And when she is done with her she going to toss her away and get a new female or just breed her daughter instead. All those little angels have to suffer because of one persons greed.

Such a horrible thing. The woman should be stoned. They are very very healthy pups who have already been to the vet and wormed once. The mama dog has been to the vet and has a clean bill of health. Everyone is fine. They will continue to get wormed and vet checked. They will all have the proper shots by my vet when it comes time. They are very sweet puppies and will have good homes. I wanted to breed my dogs, like I said stone me ok. If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.

Everything was fine and the puppies were cute. This is sad. Both of the parents are getting fixed. Wanted one litter so sue me. I wonder how many here breed over and over. I never in my life have bred an animal. This was a one time deal for me. I really wished I hadn't done it before I even read your mean posts. It has been done. There is nothing I can do to change it.

All you can do is make me feel horrible. Make me feel like I murdered someone. I take care of my dogs. They are not in cages. They are loved and sleep in my bed with me. If this is all so terrible then do what you will.

By the way I have had Annie for about a year and a half now. I got Buddy in November so there. I didn't breed her right after her puppies were gone. God.

It would be wonderful if we could have some spay/neuter laws with real consequences but until we get more support from the pet industry that won't happen. Have you ever seen a dog food company or pet store advocate spay/neutering? Sure, they may have adoption events but they don't require the animal to be altered. We do adoptions at a chain pet store every weekend and not once have they required the dogs to be altered. Most vets spay and neuter hundreds of dogs each month but how many recommend neuter/spaying your pet. Fewer pets mean less money. As for puppy mill dogs, I'm sitting here with 3 mill yorkies, 1 on my lap , 1 next to me and another in a padded bed at my feet. I can guarantee that they were spayed before we placed them for adoption. People like her are the reason that reputable rescues require so much before placing dogs. I want to cry thinking about the way the trust that these poor dogs put in her was betrayed.

You might feel differently when your little girls heart stops beating from maybe this final breeding you put her through. You came here and told us you rescued her!!!! From what another greeder so you could use her for the same thing??? This saddens me so much because I really did rescue a breeder and yes she was spayed and still only lived another 2 years and was only 7 the day she died. How could you possibly say you rescued her and then do this to her again? It is beyond my understanding. I hope all rescues in the future will find out about what you did and never allow you another dog to abuse.

I'll repeat what's been said in case you didn't get it...spay & neuter both of your pets if you love them ( you really should alter the puppies too since you really know nothing about the parents). Please, please, leave the breeding to those who've invested the time & resources to do the breeding correctly.

Although, you may have only let her be bred one time, you do not know how many litters she has had prior to coming to you. What kind of stress has her body been under? You said you only intended to do this once, but you obviously are interested in money because you were asking how much to sell the pups for. You described her as a rescue. Ask yourself what she was rescued from (breeding). So, yes, you are part of the over breeding epidemic. You can not undo this, but you can have your puppies spayed/neutered as well as both parents. I realize that right now you are feeling terrible. You did this in ignorance, but now you have the opportunity to be educated. Love the two dogs you currently have, but do not let them breed again. Let her retire from breeding and be your wonderful, loyal pet.

YOU wanted one litter? No matter what that little dam might have been through? Did her discomfort or the strain on her little body with her poor history ever enter your mind once or did you just want to do what seemed to please you? Don't go off and get mad - please read on. No one of us is perfect! But there is much to consider before breeding you may not have known or considered. And just because the female and the male might be said to be healthy by a vet, did that include a full panel of bloodwork, heartworm/fecal testing and full neuro and all systems testing and health certificates for all of the other genetic problems that a breeding couple can pass along to puppies and there are a whole host that a Yorkie can pass along, dooming those little things to a life of pain, serious illness and even death well before their time and breaking the heart of the hapless new owner? To just carelessly breed a poor little rescue dog without knowing all about its lines and genetics and all of the rigors of breeding is so irresponsible and shows such a lack of empathy for the dogs, their puppies or the prospective buyers as to be shocking and sad. But we ALL often act out of lack of knowledge and act irresponsibly in life, believe me. I'm hoping you are relatively new to the dog fancy and just didn't know better and will stay on YT and learn all about Yorkies and responsible dog ownership/stewardship and how to put their interests ahead of yours.

Dogs are innocents and totally at the mercy of their humans and we therefore need to know all there is about the best ways to care for them, how to faithfully reward them for their undying love and companionship, give them wonderful and carefree doggie lives of fun and not working for their keep and educate ourselves on how to advocate for them. If you stay on this website or any doglovers' website, you will in time learn that what you and others(including myself) have done to unwittingly breed dogs when we had no business doing it is wrong and is so often costing dogs their health, the breed in general a healthy genetic heritage and a good quality of life for all dogs. Yorkies are now rife with all types of inherited genetic medical problems from decades now of irresponsible breeding of any female to any male and flooding the gene pool with faulty genes that carry many dread diseases such as collapsing trachea, hydrocephalus, liver shunt, MVD, LP, severe undersized "teacups" - oh, you name it. But if you learn from this experience and do all of the right things for your dogs from now on, you can become a real voice speaking out for dogs. You can make a difference from now on.

I cannot believe you have the gall to answer us with this bull! You FORCED your girl (a rescued BREEDER girl! who was given up bc she was too old to breed?!) to breed yet again because YOU wanted to. She had six pups. Those six pups will go on to families that could have saved a pup from death from the shelter! But bc of YOU those dogs will DIE. BECAUSE OF YOU! How do you not get it! The accurate numbers that usually come in annually are that 8-9 million animals end up in rescues or shelters. Of that 8-9 million, 3-4 million are killed annually.

Here in Phoenix alone, we kill 60,000 animals (yes, KILL) annually. :(

Now, I'm curious why you'd respond w/ "so there" - as if the info preceding it made everything okay. I would have loved to have seen you respond in such a way that showed you understood the gravity of breeding *any* living creatures, let alone these particular 2. Tina, I don't know you, but I'm sure you have a good heart inside you -- so I hope I reach it, somehow, when I say with kindness that I'm so saddened and disappointed to read that you bred these 2 precious ones - even after all that they've already endured in their lives. I don't know what I would do if I met you; but since you mentioned it, stoning is not a bad idea actually. How much should you charge? NOTHING. If you cannot afford to spay that poor mama, please surrender her to a REPUTABLE rescue. The puppies should also be surrendered to a rescue that will keep them until they are 6 months of age to be altered and then placed in a good home.

Wow, I read this thread last night on my tab & just saw the OP's responses...unbelievable! Why is it that these people always refer to 'God' & use religious connotations? Do they need to repent or something...I hope He'll forgive you bc what you did is very EVIL.

When I think about how much money I have spent on my adopted fur kids and how much I have grieved over each loss I just don\'t understand people like the OP. God gave us hearts for loving and brains to know how to use that love. There must be something missing in a person like her.

There is no defense here. You subjected a rescue gal to be bred again, because you "wanted" another litter. That wanting is simply not a good enough reason.

There are many cheap Spay and Neuter clinics, all over the country. Get it done and get it done NOW.

You will make no money from this litter, if as I do so hope that you get that litter and Momma the best of vet care.

You deserve no money from your reprehensible acts.
