| Biter. Hello, my Lexi is almost 4 months old. She wont stop biting me! I can't even pet her, brush her, trim her, nothing. She just bites. When I tell her no, she barks and bites me again. |

| I carried nylabones and small stuffed toys in my pocket and thru out the house and popped them in Ziva's mouth when she was that age. Teething takes a few months but by the time its done (by 7 months with my two) they will be trained not to bite people only their own toys. |

| I would say no and squirt her with a water bottle.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I really feel for pups at this age, as they must be in pain/discomfort with sore gums, nyla bones are great, but most biting I found happens when your trying to play with them.... there is loads of teething toys on the market ones you can put in the freezer to help soothe the gums, they do grow out of it when they stop teething, I would go for soothing your pups gums rather than punishment at this age Amazon.com: Dog Toy Pet Stages Cool Teething...

| If Cinders started to bite me instead of the toy, I'd freeze. When she started chewing on the toy again, I'd play. This was suggested on the boards by someone and it works. If they are more interested in biting you than biting the toy, you take the biting interest away from you by freezing. You become boring. . When they go back to the toy, unfreeze and play. Hope this works for you. It took a few days for Cinders to understand, but it worked.

| Magnus had nipping issue and while searching for ways to stop it, I found one method which I thought did the job but apparently, it wasn't good for the pup. -_-; Lesson learned. The method that worked the best was if/when he tried nipping/biting me, I'd yelp really loud like it hurt. Few days of that, I think he realized what he was doing was hurting me and the habit went away. Now, when he has something in his mouth and won't give it to me when asked, I'll pretend to stick my finger at the side of my mouth and yelp. He lets go of whatever he had in his mouth right away. |

This is what I do with Jasper. It gets his mind off of my fingers and onto the toy or chewie. Also, he likes to chase his ball. So, I have it handy to play fetch with. When he tires out he is more apt to let me pet and love on him for a while.
