Also, make sure to keep the hair on the end of his weenie short, otherwise if his red thing stays out too long the hairs can stick to it and pull some of the outside inside when it tries to go back. I speak from experience.

I'll certainly agree on that, plus shorter hair dries quicker. I'm not a fan of picking up one of my guys and having to wash my hands so frequently.

As far as a Female being fixed...
That deters some of it. Both my Males do "maintenance" on my (spayed) Female Becca, and she goes along with it pretty well. My Junior Male Ichabod humps Becca frequently, but given age and he's trying to establish his dominance in the Pack (good luck with that) I'm not going to conclude that it's a hyper olfactory sensitivity just yet.

My biggest problem is that my next door neighbor has an intact Female Yorkie

So, "exposures" around here are common place
