| ![]() Make the call, it will do no harm...and a lot of good. If nothing else, the dog must be made safe. We all hope everything inside the home is ok...but you already know the dog is going in and out. Call the police.

| ![]() I agree, call the police. If you choose not to call the police you can get the door to stay closed by putting an old rag between the door & the door frame & shut the door HARD and it should stay closed. ![]() |

| ![]() I agree with the others - call or get the door to close but make sure the pup is inside the house.

| ![]() I did call last nite about 9. (My hubby was asleep). I told them the whole story, and they felt that a well check was warranted. I waited down stairs (inside) and within a few minutes I saw the blue flashing lights. They went up the stairs, and saw that the door was open, a little. They went in with guns in hand. I could hear the Yorkie barking, so he was def inside. They came out within 10 minutes, struggled with the door, and left. I kept getting up all nite to check to see if a light was on. At about 4a, I saw the front porch light on. Hopefully it's not on a timer. There still isn't a car in the driveway. Their garage is full with stuff, so they are unable to park inside. I will be home most of the day, so Ian and I will be on watch patrol.

| ![]() I know you said you don't really know the family but how odd to leave a yorkie home alone over night! I hope the poor little guy has access to food and water and a place to potty!!! I'm glad that you called! If nothing else we know nobody is hurt inside of the home. Were the police able to latch the door?

| ![]() If there is no food and water available, this is becoming an issue for animal control. If it were me, I would call the local humane society, explain the entire situation to them as you have to us, and ask them for advice. |

| ![]() I was wondering about the food and water issue, too. I still don't see a car there, but it looks as if the door is closed. If I don't see any people there by 7p, I will call animal control, and at that hour, their calls roll over to the police. I wish he had come to me. He would have had food, water, and a fun time with Ian. Their Yorkie is a little guy...about 4.5 pounds. This is the weirdest thing ever. I'm going to leave a note on their door with my name/phone number, and a brief explanation about yesterday. If the note is removed I'll know that someone has been there. It'll be place where they can see it, but not blow off.

I am upset at the thought of you peaking out your window or door all day instead of making a simple call when there is any possiblity of a danger. Then news is filled all day with such things that "no one"noticed...etc.... I am not mad at you, I'm upset that people, human beings to day are still afraid to take action and help a child or a pup in danger.....why???? I just don't get it. I would not hesitate for one single second to knock on the door, pound on the door, lay on my horn in the driveway...(all things I have done) if I didn't get an answer, I would call the police, period.
