| People can be funny-- Heidi looks like a girl, and I can have her all dressed up in a fancy pink dress & bow and several times people have come up to her and say, "oh, what a pretty girl! What's her name?" I say, "Her name is Heidi." They'll pet & talk to her and suddenly stop and look at me, and say "Is it a girl or boy?" LoL Guess they aren't thinking it thru.

| I don't get that with Leiloni but I sure did with Gus. Even though He would wear boys clothing they would still think he was a girl.

| I don't often get assumptions but I get questions, is it a boy or a girl and since 95% of the time I am walking Lola in one of her girly harness dresses I do find that odd and funny. I also find that most people seem to relate the sex of your dog to their dog or to their last dog, so if they have had all girls they seem to assume yours is.

| I've had Mina sitting in the stroller, wearing a pink dress and pink bow and been asked "boy or girl?". This makes it really hard not to be a smart @$$. I just look at them and politely say ,,,girl. |

Bless her heart, she's so sweet, but she rarely gets your dog's gender correctly. xD She just remembers to ask how they are! <3I think I get more irritated when people run around yelling that Nilla is a Shih - Tzu. Then if they ask for the breed, by the time you get through the Biewer explanation sentence, you can tell they are disinterested and have already zoned out. I know I feel terrible when I guess someone's pup's breed wrong too. Floppy eared Biewer problems!

| They never do with my two. Jewels is very petite and girly looking, Chachi is alot bigger and muscular and atheletic looking like a boy. I never put bows on him though and Jewels I will put a bow on occasionally but even when I dont people know they are female and male just by looking at them

"Well let me help you guess, I will give you a few clues, dress, bow, pink, now take a guess", or I will say "I am an equal opportunity owner, so some days I let him wear a dress" or "I have always wanted to own a little cross dresser" . I say it funny so they usually wind up laughing.speaking of getting gender wrong, I seem to do a lot of that with babies so I try now to not say anything or just come right and ask. Also there is a girl or guy that works at my Kroger that in mind the jury is still out on ![]()

| I get that with Morgan. I just tell them he is a boy. I think that it is because of his name cause Morgan can be either a boy or girl these days. I named him Morgan because of Derek Morgan on criminal minds |

| Nope only because unless you look it's hard to tell a make from a female dog!

| Doesn't bother me at all. I usually go along with it and when they ask their names they figure it out... or not! It makes no difference to me if they don't know. How could they, unless dressed boy or girl like...Mine aren't always dressed in clothes.

Usually people her take a look at the bow and pretty dresses and call Cinders a "she". Older people ask though. I politely answer she's a she, and she likes to give kisses when you pet her, so be careful, you will get wet if she likes you!
