It is compressed air that makes a "Shhhh" sound. I call it the horn so Max understands.

We give the "quiet" command first and pick up the can only when he doesn't listen to us -- which is when the doorbell or my phone rings.

Thanks, I was surprised that he reacted so negatively as he is not usually so sound sensitive.

Perhaps this would work on Toto. He doesn't seemed scared of much. Scrappy used to LOVE play barking at the air compressor at work. He liked to show off how tough he was. He would try to bite the air stream.

Pennys in a can did not work for Mina and it was louder than any of the dogs. As for being afraid of the compressed air,um no. She will look you straight in the eye and sit at my feet and bark. The look says "Im gonna use my outside voice if I want to". I do think that it has helped her to understand the word "enough". Used to if I said enough she just ignored me now she will walk away grumbling and I dont have to use the can.

I got the Pet Corrector in the mail last night. It scared the heebie jeebies out of my female biewer. It didn't scare my male yorkie, it did get his attention though so he could hear me say "no bark - quiet". I will say it was more peaceful at home last night but I will also say, it depends on the dogs personality, I didn't expect it to scare the you know what out of one of my dogs. Now that they've both seen the can and where the sound comes from, I'm hoping to be able to just show them the can and all excessive barking will stop.

I got my pet corrector today!!! It works I have use it twice to get my point across and now all I have to do is say quiet and show them it and they stop barking!!! omg!! a miracle!!!! Thank you for sharing this product!!!

Woo hoo! I was so excited to hear about this, I went right into amazon and ordered it. I bring Teddy to my hair salon with me, and I have a doorbell that clients ring. At the beginning of the day he is quieter, but as the day goes on, he is louder and louder.....I hope this works

Milo is getting better but he still goes ballistic over a big, sweet, beautiful Bassett Hound that walks just about the same time we do every morning & a few other things---sometimes things that I can't even see. I can't wait to try this. Thanks so much!

I went to Petsmart today looking to "Stop That". They didn't have it, never even heard of it. But they did have "Quit it", so I got that. So far so good. So we shall see.

At my wit's end, so I purchased the Pet Corrector today on Amazon. Hopefully this will help Toto with his "high alert" attitude. I'll post the results once I get it.
