| Tomorrow is a big day!! Well today at 2pm I take Princess Sophie to the vet for her Kennel Cough shot. Tomorrow is her day to be spayed. My baby is really growing up. I expect to hear that she is at least 4 lbs. since she was 3 lbs. 13 oz. at her last checkup. I know this is a procedure that #1 is necessary and #2 done thousands of times. All our female dogs have gone through it but all our dogs were quite a bit bigger than Sophie. I also know I shouldn't be afraid but I know there is always a chance that things can go wrong. So...in a nutshell, I am worrying and afraid for her. The procedure will most likely go off without a hitch but there is always that chance. Our vet is familiar with small animals and all the things that can happen and I trust her tremendously. I can't explain why I feel this way except to say that I know sometimes things do go wrong and I love this little ball of fur so very much. I don't know what I would do without her. I have onesies for her to wear after and I know how to handle pups after this procedure, I just hate that she has to go through this. It isn't an option, for her health and our peace of mind. I don't really have any questions just needed to vent. Thanks!!

| You feel this way because she is so little. Trust me. It's normal. I've had all of my pets spayed/neutered thru the years and NEVER felt nervous and on edge as I did with Mandie. Prayers that all goes well. Keep yourself busy tomorrow and make the time pass.

| Thank you both Terri and Janice! I really appreciate your kind words. I know we both will get through this. It's just part of being a responsible pet owner.

YT 2000 Club Member | Diane, we all understand how you feel.....it is normal because we are human and love our babies. I was a nervous wreck when Teeka was spayed & will go through it again in a few months with Tatiana. She will be 6 months next week. I just discussed this with my vet this morning. Tatiana is 2.2 pounds and we are going to wait as long as possible before she is spayed. The smaller they are the scarier it is.....at least to me! I will pray that everything will go well and that she heals quickly! The first day is the worst and you will be surprised at how quickly they bounce back to their old selves! ((Hugs)) to you and Sophie!

You are all Sweeties!!! Thanks! Back from the vet, Sophie weighs 4 lbs, 13 oz. She's grown a whole pound since her last check up. Yeah!!! Vet was very reassuring that they would take excellent care of her and she's be home in no time at all! Thanks everyone!!

| Macy and Molly are sending hugs for Sophie's spay tomorrow. Good luck, I know she will do fine. I think it will be harder on you than her. Sending prayers for her quick recovery.

| My thoughts and prayers are with you and Princess Sophie. It's so difficult to watch our babies have any pain whatsoever. I'm sure you will do everything possible to make her feel safe, secure, comfortable, and loved.

| Praying for Princess Sophie for a safe surgery and speedy recovery. I know it is impossible not to worry -- I cried both times I had to leave Max for surgery. Keep busy tomorrow and the day will go by faster.
