He must have really appreciated the freedom! Most dogs are pretty much back to normal after about 3 days if all has gone well. It sounds like your guy is doing great.

I have a question about him running and jumping, today is the third day and all he wants to do is play ball. How long do I ha e to limit his running and jumping? As of now I am keeping a constant eye on him but he's so quick and loves to play.

Gracie was also feeling great about he third day after her spay. She wanted to jump up on furniture and chase cats like she was used to doing. I just let her do what she was comfortable with. She did rest more often than she would have before the surgery but she did not seem bothered at all by the her incision site. Her stitches did not show and did not have to be removed. Does your guy's surgery site look good to you? Don't let him get too crazy but if he wants to play it is because he is feeling good.

His incision looks great no redness or even swelling. I have been letting him play and his incision still looks good but when he gets all worked up i give him a bully stick and he goes at that for a while.
