| Emergency Volunteering: N.Dallas Sitter The tragedy this afternoon in Oklahoma is so unbearably sad and words cannot even begin to express..... Have an application in to be a health provider for the Red Cross for future needs. Can anyone recommend a Yorkie sitter in the North Dallas/Plano, Texas area who comes with very good credentials and references? I'm sure a breeder wouldn't want to bother with sitting other Yorkies but that would be the ideal for my fur baby.... I want to be able to have at least two sitters checked out and ready for my Yorkie in case I am ever called to help in the future. The sitters' credentials MUST be verifiable as I will not leave my fur baby with just anyone. Appreciate any suggestions. Feel free to send me a PM. Maybe you know someone who might know someone? I have a call in to Liberty's vet, in case he knows of someone. Thanks in advance. P.S.: Send prayers to Oklahoma, please! Also, remember the Red Cross!!!! |

| I can't recommend a pet sitter because I don't know of any but I wanted to say thank you for volunteering to help. I am praying for Oklahoma and the families that lost homes and/or loved ones. My DH's family lives in Ardmore which thankfully wasn't hit, but I can't imagine going through what people in Moore and the surrounding areas went through today..

| They had just gotten a new puppy yesterday. So what better name to give her than, of course, Stormy. lol!! |

| Maybe you can call some vets in the area and find the local Yorkshire Terrier Club, ask their president or secretary whom they know of that their members use.

| Yes, I'm looking for the DFW chapter's number. I ran across Bluebonnet's web page and will call them tomorrow to see if they have that #. Sandy - maybe Stormy's middle name should be "Blessing"? |

| haha. Blessing is appropriate, too! The breed clubs usually have just about everything you need in the way of ready referrals. I've found them enormously helpful. If they don't know, they can give you numbers of members to call who do know one way or another. Probably a reputable breeder wouldn't trust a strange dog with unknown health history be brought into their homes out of concern for their own dogs but they would probably know of a good sitter. Or know of someone who does use a good one.

| Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier Club has some awesome people. They should be able to possibly give you some suggestions.
