Puppy Mill in Lancaster PA?

Did any of you actually visit this breeder? I was there this week to see the Maltese puppies. It is a lovely, clean, pleasant kennel. I saw some adorable Yorkie puppies, but I was there to see maltese (2 breeders share facilities on the farm). The pups are happy, healthy, clean, sociable, adorable. I met the Maltese parents! lovely dogs...The breeders are open, helpful, eager to show parents and sibs, full of information. Someone on this site said that it is a puppy mill......I saw no evidence of that. very comfortable with what I saw and put a deposit on a puppy.

Chuck, I bought my Morkie from Petitte Pup Kennels in Loganton, and I couldn't be happier. He is the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever had. Karen was very nice and easy to work with. When I went to pick out my puppy, he was only 6 weeks old. They wouldn't let me bring him home until he was at least 10 weeks old, and released by the vet. He is now 3 years old, and perfect. I can say that from what I saw, they are not a puppy mill, and it appeared all the puppies were well taken care of. I hope my experience helped.

I was not aware that they had closed. I can only tell you my experience was good and my puppy was healthy. I do know they previously endorsed valley meadow kennels, and their link is no longer on their website.

If two breeders use the same "facility" they are a puppy mill. . Reputable breeders keep their dogs in their homes. Not in a facility. They live underfoot and spend all their time with the family living life.

If you bought a Morkie from the same facility then again it is a puppy mill . . Reputable breeders do not mix breeds. The breed for the advancement of the breed. If you want to get a mixed breed go to a shelter. There are 1000s of them just waiting for a home.

They are not a reputable breeder they say on the first page they sell some hybrids then most of there pups are ACA and a reputable breeder uses AKC after that I just stopped looking...... Ugh.

Allow me to clarify, I am 100% positive, this puppymill is definitely closed, all kennels on the property and outhouses are empty, they are out of business in PA. They transferred to another state that I really didn't want to endorse or bring attention to here...but none the less, the petite pups.com is also NOT by any means a place where anyone should purchase a pup.

They should be called out for false advertiseing because they are still advertising pa pups. I also looked up there address and holy crap at the out buildings. No wonder they say you have to make an appointment to come.

Oh, okay. Their website is active and being updated, but I understand what's going on. They are selling their dogs from another location.
