| I think you have it figured. I've found females will start early to establish pack leadership. If your little girl was feeling like she had to exert a little authority and you were stepping in but not too forcefully, she was doing what dogs in the wild would do. They will pee and poo to mark their territory, and your little girl is saying that your bed is her territory, especially when you get up to give special attention to the baby. |

| Just a little update on Bella; Last night, for the first time, I put all 3 puppies in the bed with us. They looked like 3 little monkies lined up! Doc claimed his spot by snuggling up to my right shoulder and laying his little head as close to mine as he could. Bella claimed her usual place curled up in a ball half under the cover on my right side which was right next to Doc ... and Eva curled up next to Bella on top of the comforter (she likes to be up high) and all of them slept without any problems and NO bed marking!!! Whoo hoo I didn't sleep too sound though, I was worried about Doc waking up and walking off the bed, but the little stinker didn't move from his spot all night ... he stretched out on his back after a while and slept as snug as a bug in a rug, such a good little bed buddy.
