I'm sorry and I do know how difficult it is to not only get past the "mind movies" but the loss of one animal/human that we love so much...but I will say that time gives way to happy memories more often than bad ones and that no person/animal is replaceable, but there is always room in our lives for another being...to make more happy memories and above all else...to LOVE...

I wish you peace and I hope you get another baby sooner rather than later....there is a baby out there waiting for you!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your LouLou. When a dog dies it's heartbreaking but when it does from injury from another dog it's much worse. I didn't think St Bernards were vicious they always seem so laid back. Well I guess there's always one that breaks the rules. Anyway our prayers and love to out to you.

It has nothing to do with age, and no you can't just get on with it. Yes when we get these little guys/gals we know their time with us is limited, but you suffered a tragic loss of your beloved family member. Yes I am, and I'm sure everyone else here, is of the school of thought they are family members first and pets second. So don't feel bad about feeling bad. Don't kick yourself over not being able to "get on with it" right away. You need time to grieve, it's all a process, 4 or 2 legged family. This is just my first yorkie and he is only 5 months old, but I cannot imagine life without him. I definitely cannot imagine what you are enduring at this moment.

Take a deep breath, allow yourself to go through the process. When you finally find some peace LouLou will see to it the right yorkie is placed in your path. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. RIP LouLou

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious little girl. There are no words that can help you but I do pray that God will comfort your heart at this time of distress.

As was already mentioned I do hope that the dog who did this to your baby has been reported and that this will never happen to another dog.

If you feel you are ready for another pup then by all means start looking. Take your time and make sure you know who you are dealing with. There are so many fakes out there selling little dogs right now. I want you to have the dog you really want and not one that someone has pushed on you in order to fatten their pocketbook.

Please let us know how you are doing. You know that everyone cares very much about what you are suffering right now.

I feel so bad for you and your family. When our sweet Charlie was killed, I called a breeder 2 days later. My husband wasn't sure about getting another puppy so soon, but like you, I could not stand the thought of coming to our house without a Yorkie there. Then, Barney entered our lives. He did not take Charlie's spot, but he does provide us with laughter and joy in a time of terrible hurt and pain. There are still days that it is so painful. I cannot even imagine how it would have been without Barney. You have to do what is right for your family. I understand your desire to get another puppy.

Little LouLou blessed your life. It is so tough to lose a family dog. My heart was broken when my Yorkie Teddy Peanut left us. I got another Yorkie, JoJo and you really should do that too. I am praying for comfort for you and your family. Like the rainbow bridge poem says, "She is long gone from your life but Never gone from your heart." Treasure her sweet memory and pray for another little Yorkie to come into your life and bless you like LouLou did.
