| Long Hair For you that have pups with long hair, what do you to to make sure you get all the tangles out of the leg area? I have just been holding up Rosie's hair to comb the legs. Just wondering if their is an easier way where I can have two hands free to do this. What do you do? Also do you brush or comb?

| I use a face & leg buttercomb. Hard to explain, but I use one hand to hold the hair section and keep other hair out of the way. I also comb the body hair out of the way. Sometimes I will use the long hair clips like a human stylist uses when cutting hair to keep hair out of the way. I work from the back of the leg and then the front, under the chest. Usually I make the boys sit when I work from the front, facing their chest. This way I can make sure they don't have tangles in their armpits. I use the wider teeth of the comb first and then move to the closer spaced teeth for a final comb through.

| This is a link for the product Tangle Teezer the Detangling Hair Care Brand I use this and find it brilliant for getting out any tangles . Alfie hated getting brushed but is fine with this. When you start on the tangle it seems as if it is just brushing the top of it and then it just disappears the knot .it certainly made my job of brushing Alfie a pleasure . I found this brush when I seen it demonstrated in a shop and thought if its that good with human hair I get one and try it, never looked back. I have also recommended to friends whose children hated getting brushed and they love it.

| I lay Kyra on her back on my lap and lift her legs to make sure I get all the tangles from her armpits and tummy.

| I just hold/move hair from the section with one hand and comb with the other. Starting from top of the leg to the foot, front to back. I always use something to wet it down because it does tend to break or damage the hair if you are trying to comb a knot out with dry hair. After it is wet, I start with a brush (madan) using quick strokes, it helps loosen it up a bit if they have tangles. Then I go through with a comb using the wide teeth first and then going over it again with the fine teeth. Lately I've been using the Espree detangler and I love it!! Massage a little in and knots come out like butter. I also shave their armpits. I got tired of them knotting or matting there and it is a sensitive area for them so it was a pain to comb out. They have such long hair that you can't even tell they are shaved unless you move other hair out of the way but they no longer have to worry about knots in that area. I can lay my girls on their backs to shave and comb and they just go right to sleep. But I can't do that with Scampers, he freaks out being on his back so instead I have to make him stand on his hind legs by holding his two front feet with one hand while I comb with the other.

| I also flip Piccolo upside down to comb her legs and belly. She has gotten used to it in her eight years because I do it twice a day. Believe me, she freaked out in the beginning, so understand your difficulties. I do use the Yorkie Splash and Shine detangler on her comb, as needed.
