| Petsmart Hotel Anyone ever board their yorkie at one of the Petsmart hotels? A friend of mine boarded their dog at one of these and was satisfied but they have a big dog. I feel like bigger dogs are easier to please compared to yorkies. Or maybe it's just that my yorkies are hard to please lol regardless I'm extremely picky on boarding especially since I've never boarded them overnight so I want them to be comfortable since it'll be for like 4-5 nights.

| I would ask if someone will be there 24/7. My DIL has recently started working at a Petsmart hotel and is working nights. Ive never had my babys stay anywhere but home,so I cannt be anymore help than that. Hopefully someone else will come along with more information. |

| I think there was a member a while back who posted she was watching one of the play times they do there and they had big dogs mixed with tiny dogs. That could be really dangerous.

| My advice is to see if you can take your dog to someone that has other yorkies that you can pay to babysit your dog. I have a lady that has three of her own and to earn extra cash watches yorkies. She has been doing this for years and is very particular with shots and so forth, she has very secure backyard as well. Or perhaps some one could stay at your house. Check with your vet, and even other vets in your area, look on the YTCA website and perhaps there is a Maltese breed club in your area, call them to check if they know of anything, that's how I found my gal, my old breeder told me about her. Also perhaps someone from here in your area might do that. There was a thread not to long ago where someone was asking about this and a YT member contacted her and wound up watching the dog. Also if you do find someone my advise is to do a trial run while you are home for one night and see how your pups do. If I can not travel with Lola but my husband is home, I still take her to the yorkie sitters house, LOL my husband is gone a lot but more importantly he refuses to learn how to put Lola's top knot in a pony tail, my sitter does a new one every day and even brushes her every few days

| Boarding at Petsmart I have no experience boarding but I will in 2 weeks. My baby is staying at my vets which is also an animal hospital. She sleeps all night at home but not sure what she will do there. I don't think they have 24 hr. care. Still safer than staying with family or friends since they have no experience with these tiny little angels/devils. I am concerned but understand that she will be in a kennel by herself and her playtime will be one on one with no other animals. A few things worry me: 1) I use potty pads but they will take her outside 3 times a day. I am taking pads with her and will probably bribe/pay for her some extra attention and 2) I often hand feed her in addition to putting food in her bowl just to make sure she eats enough. She really likes her food scattered on the ground. At least I've met and like my vet and staff and should anything happen she will get immediate care. I would just make sure that your Petsmart has a vet on site. Good luck and wish me luck too...

YT 2000 Club Member | I have watched the dogs at our Petsmart. A lady is always in there watching the dogs play but sometimes they get rough. I would rather leave my dogs in their own home and have someone come stay if that is possible. I really can't say how safe that place is. Go and observe for yourself, see what is really going on.l |

| Mine is staying at my vet as well. Its not 24 hour but they are in their own crate and I will tell them to give her something if she is really shaky. I feel bad but I dont want her with other bigger dogs at this point. |

| I think I might give my breeder a call and see if she can do it. If not, my mom is my last resort just cause she doesn't baby them like I do and she makes them sleep all night in their crate. I prefer for them to sleep with someone but I guess it could be worst lol
