| I went thru my jewelry box and got a couple broken tiny chainbracelets, 4 little tiny chain ankle bracelets, my old wedding band (ex husband's band), and a gold chain I found, crushed in the Target parking lot, and about 5 single earings that were eityher missing the stone or the other in the pair was lost....just for the heck of it, I took that little pile of "junk" that was cluttering up my jewelry box since 1980.....I walked out of there with $1300.00!!!! Now that was several months ago while gold was still out the roof....it has started to drop now.....but if you have anything like that, it is amazing how much you can make from it! Great idea! I'm sure I have some of those little broken things around. Truthfully, I am a bit disgusted at my husband because we DO have the means to see that she is taken care of yet he is saying it is insane and she might not ever fully recover etc It really hurt me to hear him talk like that as our little Khloe was fighting her best fight to make it!! I will not beg him to pay for it but I will find a way to do it myself whether or not he agrees. My daughter who is 18 is just as upset as I am if not more and she stated that if he didn't make sure she got the care she needed then she could never look at her dad the same way. It is one thing to not have the funds to get her taken care of but it is completely another to have the money and just refuse! I will add that he is a wonderful man that adores animals so much. I'm being quite sensitive due to being at fault here and watching her suffer (he didn't witness it) I know he was trying to be a voice of reason but it is hard to listen to that voice when it comes to your sweet little dog.

| Puppies are very resilient. Trust the vet--if there were no hope, he would tell you. The next few days will be critical. Hang in there! |

| My heart so goes out to you... My new little puppy was in the basket of my electric wheel chair and he jumped out ... hit his head, started to seizure, screamed like he was being killed... I have heart problems and for sure felt I was going to have a heart attack ... crying and screaming at the same time and feeling all kinds of guilt... I know how you must be feeling... Armani was fine after a few hours at the vet .. I pray your little darling one will be okay too.. You and your little one are in my prayers. Blessings ... Donna

| Oh my I can only imagine how sad this is for you, but like others said, don't give up yet and let your vet guide you. A few days after I had Lola, I had her up on a bar height counter, I stepped to the end to get a better angle at a collar I wanted to put on her, and in an instant she just walked off it, she fell hard but in moment was back up, she wound up recovering quicker than me, since I had to lay down from crying so hard. I also had a yorkie fall through a three story open circular stairway in an old house, she fell about a story and a half onto to a tile floor, she yelped and screamed something awful but within 5 min was fine. In hind site I should have taken both to the vet to have them checked out but that was before YT so I did not know as much then. Both dogs wound up fine, but of course they did not have seizures. I share this, just so you know that a lot of us on here have also had accidents with our pups, no matter how careful you are sometimes they just surprise the heck out of you by something they do and it is normally so quick. I put Lola in the top of the shopping cart a lot, I will be more careful thanks to reading your story. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your vet. ((((hugs))))) Donna

| ((HUGS)) for you and your baby girl. These things happen so crazy fast. They really are just like babies and toddlers! I agree with the others that have posted - follow your vet's guidance, and don't beat yourself up! It can happen to any one of us, and has to so many. When I took Sam and Piper for their first vet visit, I had Sam sitting on the exam table on his blanket and my Mom was holding Piper. Mom asked me to help her with something, so I told my 14 year old to hang on to Sam. In the time it took me to take 2 steps to where Mom was sitting, my daughter turned her head to say something, and Sam slipped right off the edge of the table. There were 3 of us in that room within 2 feet of him, and he still managed to fall. He was fine, but it scared the crap out of me. Reading this got me thinking about all the sewists we have here. There are car seat belt adapters out there; how hard would it be to come up with something to hook onto a shopping cart basket the same way?

YT 2000 Club Member | Do not give up hope. God hears every prayer that is said and we all want to hear that she is getting better. In times like these when you do not know which way to turn, just wait. Give her time to heal. No one can predict the outcome. It is in the Lord's hands, He made her and He knows how much we love her. I pray that soon you will see her get better. Dogs are very resilient and they can recover from so many things. Healing prayers for this little sweet Yorkie! |
