![]() Stella's fur reminds me of my husband's pants pockets at laundry time you will find leaves, rocks, bits of treats all hidden in there because of how thick it is!! Her ears were down until I snapped one night at bath time and shaved the poor puppy's back tummy butt and ears (I blame that moment on the pregnancy haha) and as soon as the ears where shaved they stood up PERFECT but now that they have grown back out they back down, I guess her fur is just so thick that her ears can not handle the weight.

| P-Nut's coat (on his back and sides) is so cottony and thick - he's panting a lot right now (we're having 90 degree weather). His underside and head are silky, but the rest of him is cotton. We're going to have him groomed tomorrow and cut even shorter. His coat is so heavy, it's like he's wearing a big, thick wool blanket. Poor guy. I was trying to let his coat grow for a while, but that isn't going to be feasible for summer in California, especially since we're outdoorsy types. The cotton coat is a PAIN to keep groomed (brush it 1-2x per day and he still looks like an unmade bed half the time) - BUT I love his color. |

| YT 2000 Club Member | It looks like I am in for some grooming woes! I need to find something that really coats her hair so I am able to comb through it without pulling and upsetting her. She is fine until I hit a tangle! It is weird how her hair tangles. It starts at the ends and twists together. I do a lot of "finger" untangling, instead of using a comb. She is more receptive to this. Thank you all for the pictures and insights of a cotton coat
