I am glad I read that, Stella is ALWAYS panting and I asked my vet thinking it might be medical related but was told she is just the panting type dog

Stella's fur reminds me of my husband's pants pockets at laundry time

you will find leaves, rocks, bits of treats all hidden in there because of how thick it is!! Her ears were down until I snapped one night at bath time and shaved the poor puppy's back tummy butt and ears (I blame that moment on the pregnancy haha) and as soon as the ears where shaved they stood up PERFECT but now that they have grown back out they back down, I guess her fur is just so thick that her ears can not handle the weight.
