| Tucker really is a true hero! I have heard that dogs are able to sense when someone's blood sugar is either way up or way down. Yes he definately found his service calling. Way to go Tucker. I am so glad that your Mom in alright.

| Yes I do believe animals have this ability. My dad has epilepsy and although his seizure are somewhat under control with medication, he does get them every so often. My Pom sensed he would be getting one and used to get up and look at him kinda scared and bark when was having one. And Gus will whimper and lick his hand seconds before it hits him. My dad and my mother in law/step mother have 3 cats and one (Willie) will start to meowing and will run and let mom know everytime. It's kinda freaky but I believe they do know when things are going to happen.

| That is so sweet! Hooray for Tucker! After my dad had open heart surgery, our Maggie would run and check on him every time he coughed or sneezed because she sensed how painful it was for him. Also, when my grandmother had cancer and was going through chemotherapy, Maggie would lay by her side every day while my grandmother laid on the couch. She was so intune to the family's illnesses. I really believe that dog's have that 6th sense. They are so smart!

| That is such a neat story and after giving it some thought it makes sense. If your blood sugar is high certain body odors will emit a semi sweet smell so I would imagine your scent might also change if your blood sugar is low. This may be a new area for medical research.....diabetics needs yorkies too! |

| What a smart boy! It's amazing what dogs can sense that we'd never be able to tell ourselves!
