Yes I do believe animals have this ability. My dad has epilepsy and although his seizure are somewhat under control with medication, he does get them every so often. My Pom sensed he would be getting one and used to get up and look at him kinda scared and bark when was having one. And Gus will whimper and lick his hand seconds before it hits him.

My dad and my mother in law/step mother have 3 cats and one (Willie) will start to meowing and will run and let mom know everytime. It's kinda freaky but I believe they do know when things are going to happen.
