| I don't think they took it away or anything. I'm pretty sure I've heard him bark a few times in the past week. Just haven't seen him around our fence, which is good. I was so scared it would run out in the road here.

| From what you're saying it appears dog wardens don't do anything. I'd catch it and hold it to ransom. |

| We had a couple of dogs that used to hang around our home and tear our trash bags opened. one was a German Shephard and the other was a Jack Russel Terrier. We were going to call animal control because we live on a busy street and I was so afraid for them besides the fact they were making a mess with our trash. I guess maybe someone else must have called them because the next thing we know a patrol car pulled over to the house followed by an suv. They must have been the owners of the dogs but after that we never saw them again. |

| Sorry, I was replying to Dawn27, she said "owners had received numerous citations from the dog warden. But still continued to allow her to run free" then went on to suggest "call animal control and let them handle it." |

| YT 2000 Club Member | I guess some people think dog lovers don't mind other dogs on their property. Well we do mind. Guess who has to pick up the poop. I have two sweet dogs that come over and drop business . Not every day but I know it is their poop. I wish they would come over with a poop scoop and pick it up. |

| They poop in open garages, gardens, the backs of just-washed pick-up trucks and in the yards of some dogs, who then eat it and get sick, have to go to the vet. They poop near the open window where a neighbor sits in the den and has to smell it for hours unless one wants to go pick it up! Ugh! If they place any trash outside waiting for the garbage truck, they shred that open and the neighbor has to pick each dirty piece up and put it in another bag and take it in the house to keep until the next pick-up day to keep it from being shredded again. I know - my neighbor's cats have done all of this. I so wish they would keep their various cats in the house and safe. They have lost more than one to dogs and cars and who knows what. The cast changes frequently since she keeps only one cat inside and the others don't come back. You'd think she'd be afraid they would get hurt out running around on their own but she lets them out twice a day.

| My cats (I've got 6!) are free to go in and out of the cat flap 24/7. I've not had a single complaint, and I've never encountered poops on my own property. They occasionally catch mice (which is useful), but they've never caught a bird. My neighbour's cat has caught a bird, but fitting a collar with a bell stopped that. This is a quiet area without much traffic though. |

| Your neighbors are probably like me, just enduring it to keep from having to talk to you about it and cause hard feelings. If you don't find poops on your own property, guess where they are doing it? They rarely travel far to poop but don't like to have it on their own territory if they have a choice.

| Happy to hear that you have not seen the dog loose. Maybe another neighbor felt the same way as you and did something to convince the owners to keep the dog home.

| That is a strong possibility. Hope that is what happened, Kristin.
