| Careless Kid We have a service that picks up dog waste from the backyard. Last week he came to clean and when he left he didn't secure the front gate. We have a 7 food fence in the backyard where our dogs play and do their thing. We never realized the gate was opened because we let the dogs out from the back door. We let the dogs out and they didn't come back when called my friend checked the gate and it was wide opened. Thank goodness all the dogs came back except for Bassil who was running through the street into a busy road. There were no cars coming at that time thank goodness and when my friend called him he came to her. When I called to complain the owner was really nasty so I dropped the service and I am going with another one this week. I don't know how people can be so stupid. If anything had happened to Bassil I don't know what I would have done. |

| Thank goodness your pups are all home and okay! Very scary. I wouldn't rely on anyone to shut the gates. Every time you have a service of any kind, go check the gates. We have to do that and we keep locks on the gates.

| You would think that if the job is picking up dog poop, that the employee would understand the importance of keeping the fence closed so the dog can't get out. I'm amazed that the owner didn't bend over backwards with apologies & reprimand the employee. I would have changed companies, too! Glad you got them all back ok! Whew...bet you just about had a heart attack realizing the gate was open

| I would also be very afraid of what they may be tracking into your yard from another yard. Parvo is my main worry, but I'm sure they could spread other things off their feet. Even my gardener isn't allowed to use his own mower because he won't pick poo up before mowing and I don't want it spread into my yard. I'm even worried about him walking in our yard from other yards, but not all his customers have dogs like a person that goes only to homes that do have dogs. He was also spreading dandelions in our yard before we stopped him from using his own mower. We don't have those anymore now. He also left our gate open one time, but after we told him to make sure it was shut, it's never happen again. I still check and lock the gate before I let the girls out after he leaves. Can never be too careful.

Ar first they thought I was being over protective, but when I told them what they could bring into my yard and they not even know it, they agreed to use my Lawn mower. I do however check to make sure they shut my gate when they leave.

| I have a front gate and that is where we let ours most of the time and the same thing haappened to us so many times I put a sign on the gate that said "If you come in the gate close the gate we have dogs" that solved that but it doesnt matter anymore because if one of ours is outside the gate and we are not with them they stand at the gate and look nervous tthat they are out there

| Wow, that is scary. Glad all your munchkins are ok!! It is amazing how some people can be so careless. This happened 1 time with our gardener… he once left the main gate opened, I had no idea and let Peanut out.. Luckily I went to check on him and he was in our front yard. Now I just double check before letting Peanut out.. That is a good point about spreading Parvo or other disease using their own lawn mower- I have never thought about that.

| Very scary, and I am glad that your babies are okay. I understand the feeling. I came home from work once to find my gate open and my Shep/Lab mix gone. We lived 2 houses from a highway, and my worst fears were realized because she had already crossed the highway. I had trained her to voice commands and hand signals and guided her back across the highway when it was safe for her to cross. I hope your new service is more considerate.
