These are the type of posts that are detrimental to the flow of intelligent conversation between people that may have different opinions on a topic. Instead of attacking this poster personally and essentially calling her opinion, her frame of reference, even her personally, "STUPID", let me suggest a kinder, more gentle approach, such as, "I disagree".... We are ALL free to express our opinions.....opinions that are woven by facts and then shared, NOT with the ultimate goal to insult or embarrass or attack another poster and what their opinion is, but to perhaps debate and educate each other, presenting a different angle or different opinion on a topic. You continued in a second attack, paraphrasing, "No, you are not sure....". OP you could try a little cottage cheese in your puppies diet and see if that helps the ears and also shaving and taping if needed as others suggested. On another note to reply in a small way I to agree the breeder does not sound like one I would purchase from either. Hopefully my response will not be called names also but I to disagree with "designer" dogs. Unless of course you are rescuing from the pound . Best of luck with your new pup I am sure it will give you lots of love.

It doesn't matter that it took 4 specific breeds of dogs to get the final product we have in today's Yorkies. The end result is what was wanted and nothing else was introduced to this breed. A good breeder only tries to strengthen their health and to correct any bad points, not to mix with several other breeds.

Everyone's opinion valid but the truth of the matter is all pure bred dogs have been manipulated by breeders to look the way that they do. It's very easy to talk once you have your perfectly bred lap dog but let me assure you lots of cross breeding has been done to have this final product. The AKC will eventually recognize new breeds that's been going on for centuries.

Yes, but breeders were breeding for certain attibutes picking and choosing which pups should be bred. With designer breeding, it's a crap shoot, you have no way of predicting which traits will pass from each breed. No one is saying you can't develop a new breed, however, it should be done with a set goal in mind, a specific task for the dogs, not just to supply some pets for people, we already have enough!

Yes I agree with that, many breeders just get 2 dogs and mix them as designers. Which is ridiculous and your right the traits cannot be chosen it is after many generations and inbreeding that you have a regulated look of the cross breed. I cannot wait for the labradoodle to be recognized they are gorgeous, and many breeders have a generations.
