| Help, I'm confused about my yorkies ears My little Tinkerbell's ears won't stand up after taping. Do some yorkies ears just not stand up at all? She is 16 weeks now and her ears stand at the base and flop at the tips over her head. Also, her fur isn't as fluffy as other yorkies I have seen. Anybody else have this in their puppy too? |

| First of all, welcome to YT! Is she still teething? If so, they may straighten up after she is finished teething. Izzy is 11 months old (we never taped her ears and never shaved them down when she was younger) and her ears look exactly like your little one's. When Izzy looks up at us, her ears will "stand up" completely so we get the best of both, floppy and upright.

| My Sophie Kate who is 4 years old has the same type of ears. I tried the different methods to get them to stand up but they never went up all the way. Your little girl is precious, hopefully her ears will end up exactly a you want them.

| I can't tell in the picture but did you save the ear tips? She sure is a cutie. I never knew about taping when I got my yorkie so she has floppy ears. I do think some yorkies have heavy ears or bigger ears that are just not meant to stand.

YT 2000 Club Member | My first yorkie's ears were a lot like hers. They would only stand up if I shaved the tips and then they were never straight up. I didn't mind because she was the cutest, sweetest baby ever! I miss her...... Your little girl is adorable!
