Another thing to try to correct this situation would be to grab a small toy and redirect her interest to it by tossing it in the air, as she is doing with her poo, lots of praise when she shows interest in the toy.
Thinking too (probably too much, lol) she may be mimicking YOU, if she sees you cleaning up after her. I'd throw a ball or toy to get her going away from the pad so she doesn't witness you picking up any poo. |
thank you this is helpful although with keylo a toy hasnt worked but im going to keep trying.... but if i say drop it she does.....and i try to be sure to praise her even more when i see her poo and walk away. but need to learn to incorporate yuckies when caught in the act. i just love finding hard poops hidden its so gross!
