| Groomer Near South Holland, IL?? Does anyone know of a good groomer near South Holland, IL? I'm a little paranoid after reading so many grooming horror stories. I don't want her to come home dragging her hind leg or woozy from falling off the table after being manhandled or worse. She's 4 1/2 months and doesn't like being combed even though somehow we get through it every day. I need a groomer with patience who can work with puppies. A recommendation from a fellow YT'er would make me feel at ease. I'd like to take her in this weekend. Here she is all scraggly...

| I don't live anywhere near you, but I just wanted to wish you luck in your search. I groom my two because of the horror stories. It really isn't that difficult to trim them yourself. Good luck!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I don't live near you but if you have any friends that have dogs you could get a recommendation from them. You may also want to try your vet and ask if anyone in the office has any recommendations for a groomer that specializes in toy breeds. You can also invest in some clippers and watch the video in the sticky on the Grooming Forum that a member put together. If you start your baby getting used to the sound of the clippers and getting their feet touched at an early age it will be easier on your baby when he/she gets older and you or someone else wants to groom them. Good luck

| Thanks for the tips. I just checked with my vet and they have grooming services there. I think we'll be going there next weekend. I feel quite comfortable going there. I'll be sure to post some 'after' pics.
