| This is a female. I thought she may have silky in her but a vet said it was a yorkie. Do the ears and bridge/nose look like a yorkie or silky to you? Last edited by furrybaby; 03-16-2013 at 11:37 AM. |

| Smallest of 7. Doesn't necessarily mean runt, right? Although at 11 weeks is still the smallest of the bunch. Shorter stacher. Now the brother, 2nd smallest weighed 36 oz at 10 weeks. This little guy may have been 30 oz which means he'll grow up to be at least 4.5 lbs! IF he grows by the chart. That's not bad nor runt like! |

| So they look alright to you? They look alright to me too and no record of health problems in 3 years on the mother's side and none on the record for the registered father. |

| If your son can't afford the price of a yorkie how is he going to afford all the other costs? Buying the dog is the cheapest part in my opinion. Then what if the dogs had other genetic issues in there lines that pop up in the dogs life like luxating patella which can cost $3,000 to fix for one knee?

| My son can afford a dog. He does not want to pay what I paid for my dog. |

| Thank you, that will be taken into consideration. They haven't made a decision yet. Any more thoughts as to whether the above female adult is a yorkie or does it look like a silky or a mix? Last edited by furrybaby; 03-16-2013 at 06:45 PM. |

| You might want to ask the member carmen in nj. Others have asked her questions about yorkie vs silky.

| Im curious why she wants a small dog. Do they have children? Planning to have children? If so the larger the better. I mean I have a 6 lber and hes perfect for me right now, but I have taught my kids to respect animals and they know to be very careful. Its been a long process and even still if the kids are playing too rough I pick Joey up and hold him or put him in another room so he wont get hurt. A 10 lb dog is still a small dog. In the big scheme of things, you wont notice the difference between the sizes. Actually, I saw a woman in the pet store with a 2 lb dog, and I would NEVER want that. Yeah, as a puppy I get it...but not as a full grown dog. They have to be sturdy, and I want a dog, not a hamster.

But in answer to your question, the puppy you posted is adorable and if your family member wants a pet to love, I am thinking they will love it even if it is a Silky ... | |
