| You just want to be sure the baby can get something out of it after working for a period of time......I saw he was getting some bites after working with it....it may not be enough reward for effort if he is getting mad and just sitting down and barking at it!..I had one of those hamster balls that you put a hamster in and let it run around....I put pieces of chopped chicken in the ball....they could see it, but as hard as they worked at it, there was NO reward of a bite of chicken! This caused much frustration in the baby....lesson learned! Cant let them work for hours and hours and not get something for their efforts....too frustrating for them.... |

| I'm glad he's enjoying his puzzle. Tibbe absolutely loves toys like that. In fact, they are frequently his dinner bowls. He has several different little kongs that I fill up with his kibble and one even has pieces of soaked, soggy kibble in it for a change, one crispy kibble and the other two regular kibble slightly moistened, and he goes to work to get his dinner. Takes him about 45 minutes to eat. If I serve his meal in a bowl, he will stand and look at me as if to say "Where is the fun way to eat today?" and look around for his kongs, which are usually in the dish drainer drying. He really loves those things. I will even put down a bowl of dinner for him to eat from just to be sure he really does prefer to eat this way and he will go for the kongs every time.

| After a good nights sleep, he is working on getting his morning treats out of the Kong. He got everything out of it yesterday except 2 that were a little big, so I poked them and broke them up a little and added a couple more this morning. He is having some success and is learning how to roll it to get the treats out. I want one with small enough holes that I can put his kibble in it, like Jeanie said, but BB is such small bites, it just falls right out of this one.

| Tibbe's favorite kong toy is very like this one. And the entire end of each bulb is hollow. So many of them aren't - the center piece just contains a hollow stent that flows through to the end of each bulb and won't hold much food in just that little column. This one contains a lot of food but has very small holes on each end so the food doesn't just spill out. It's very pliable and bounces well. It does take some time to put each piece in one at a time. I wish there was just a way to open it up, dump a handful in and close it but not the case! It's just about 4 or 4 1/2 inches long.
