| ![]() http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...-question.html Perhaps I am wrong, but this same question is posted on another thread. Post #63 and onwards. Gina22100- Please understand that folks here at YT are very passionate about the Yorkie breed, and that some of the breeding choices you are making may be considered controversial by many, myself included.

| ![]() i dont have experience breeding dogs but i was a persian breeder for ten years and I found it was quite common for one of my studs to prefer certain females and they could be very selective. Millie |

| ![]() Yea actually he's trying to take her now but he excuse the boldness but his part comes completely out and he ejaculates outside of her like he hits and misses. I'm going to find a new stud. |

| ![]() I had a similar situation last week. My Maltese stud was hired to service a friend's Maltese bitch but he wasn't the least bit interested in her. I took him to visit her on day 6 after she started spotting (just to get acquainted). He wanted to play but she hid behind the couch on that first visit. We put them together at least every other day until day 16 when we tried AI. My Maltese was just not interested even though the bitch was flagging and doing all she could to get his attention. At home I had a yorkie that had started spotting the same day as my friend's Maltese. My Maltese acted like he was in love with my yorkie and would not leave her side. I kept them both in diapers because I didn't want them to breed. Could my Maltese stud have been so devoted to his female yorkie friend that he didn't want to be "unfaithful" and mate with another bitch? |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ![]() When more than one girl is in heat, the male will try all of them, the one closest to Estrus will catch all his attention and this could or could not be the one he mates the most with, but , sometimes the male picks one and he looses interest in the other ones. Nature is very unpredictible, as we know, as soon as one of my girls go into heat, she is going to pull the others, so I take my stud and put him in another part of the house, otherwise the hormones make him salivate of eximent and he will chase those girl and try to mount them all the time, making him exausted. I don't allow my male to chase girls either,he gets presented the female I want him to breed with, once that is done over 3 days, that girl is return to the pack but, NOT the male he stays in the guest room or the second floor with another male until the girls are done, then everyone gets a bath and life goes back to normal for another 6 to 8 months. hugs, |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ![]() SADLY, breeding a tiny female is done, I was talking to a friend who happen to have a 4 pound maltese that is being bred, because the VET said is ok, lucky for her her girl did well, but that is the exception rather than the rule, a very small female could face double the problems of a girl of 5 pounds and over, size matters to ME, but if our vets keep encoraging this type of breeding we are going to have many, little delicate dogs in our hands... I talked to my new vet, he is a very experience guy, and he still told me that if a 3 pound girl is healthy is ok to breed her, I respectfully disagree and left it there.. would that make it right, NO, would I personally do it, NO , but the vets are giving permision to do it.. hugs, |

| ![]() I was hoping it wasn't. It is o dangerous to bred on that small and I would think any breeder who knew what they were doing would know that unless all they were in it for was the money.
