Default Name a Funny things your pups have done

I saw a brief mention of a yorkie getting inside a toilet on another tread and it made me think of something funny one of my past yorkies did. Each day I would stand in the bathroom blow drying and setting my hair. I had a puppy, named Duffy and he was velcro to the max, he had taken to jumping up on the toilet seat cover so he could be closer to me to see what I was doing, well you guessed it, one day the lid was not shut, that poor little guy took a running leap and fell in the bowl. I can still remember that look of terror in his face as he was trying to grip on to the side. I scooped him up and rinsed him off but he never jumped on the lid again. A few times I would see him get ready to jump but then the lightbulb in his memory would click on.

So what have your babies done to make you laugh??

Brandi isn't usually afraid of thunder other then the occasional shaking. Well during this one thunderstorm, I was in the shower and when I turned around....who was in the shower with me? She was just sitting there staring up at me.

It was so funny because I didn't even see her jump in because I was facing the opposite direction. I think she probably heard a really big boom boom and came running into the shower so that her momma's could protect her. Every time I would try to put her out of the shower, she would jump right back in so I just let her stay. I had to be real careful so the soap didn't get into her eyes. It was the weirdest thing I've done in my life.....take a shower with my dog. That's was the only time so far. Most the time she just sleeps peacefully while I am in the shower.

that's funny that she would climb in on her own, you must have been so surprised.
However I have to admit 95% of Lola's baths are showers with me, I have bathed all my yorkies that way, and sometimes my husband showers with them as well. However none of them would ever think of getting in on their own.

Brandi doesn't like water so she must of been really scared to do that. She absolutely hates the beach and will only tolerate getting a bath. So imagine my surprise to see who was taking a shower with me.

Bentley loves to visit my parents (aka the grand humans) because his "Aunt Gata" (their cat Blossom) loves to play with him. Last week Aunt Gata was nosing around his food dish my mom put out for him. Bentley did not take kindly to it. He snatched the bowl up into his mouth and pranced into the living room, flinging out kibble as he went. lol

At home I move his water dish into my bedroom at night when it's time to start to settle down. If he falls asleep before I put him into his kennel, a lot of times he will wake up, get out of his bed, walk across the room to the water bowl take about 3 or 4 laps out of the bowl and then just DROP (not lay down) down in front of the bowl and immediately go back to sleep.

My boys are sooo funny! I love when spring comes and we are getting ready to open the pool, they make me laugh so hard. Hubby will pump the water off the cover and then let it dry so he can get the leaves off of it before we pull it off. Well one day he was using the net on a long pole to get the leaves, the pool was thawed and the cover on. Dexter my 7lb boy started going after the net, growling, yipping, barking, attacking it, running over the pool cover like it was a water bed. He did this for so long I got videos on my phone. My boys are always in or around the pool. Dexter also goes after my nephews toy cars and attacks them when they move by themselves.

Both my boys are pro boogie boarders in the pool also! That makes other people laugh and take pictures. They get on a boogie board and float around the pool, they are really frog hunting, but I don't tell people that!

A Funny Thing Rubin does is cover himself up. First he spreads out his blankie on the sofa with his paws and nose. He puts his head under the edge of the blanket, then belly crawls like a mole until his head pops out the other edge.
Ginny Joy can open her wire crate if I don't put a lock clip on it. When she gets out she sets the other Yorkies free and opens the other crates like some gangster prison break !
When I say, Go Bye Bye, Gracie gets in my carry bag on her own, she screams like I am killing her, if she has to get out. She hates when some one else has a turn to go.
I have shared this before, Abba Daddy, talks sort of. He makes this groaning, yodel woo woo, umm, errr sound that goes up and down in pitch depending on what he is trying to tell me. If you look in his eyes and talk back like, Aw Mama's little man, I love you, he gets so excited his whole body vibrates. He runs up my leg and I have to grab him before he falls off on the floor. He tucks his head under my chin and cuddles. He also dances side ways and folded in half with his head and butt touching when he wants to play.
Julia Rose is our baby girl, smarty that she is, runs to her pee-pad and fake pees, then runs to the treat jar for a treat ! yep she gets one.

Where do I begin?

1. Crawling inside of my pajamas in the night: To be closer to Mommy while sleeping, the best solution is to crawl inside her pajama top... Need I say more?
2. Making caves: Anything made of fabric can become a cave! Even Mommy's dirty clothing. Just dig and scratch and push things around and voila! A hiding spot!
3. Veggies!: Hepburn does not beg for food, unless it is broccoli or salad. Meat? no. Cheese? no. Iceberg? YES!
4. Wake up: Biting Mommy's toes and ears to wake her up... This one took about 2 weeks to unlearn, but we managed.
5. Toe/Feet licking: All bare toes or feet must be bathed... with Hepburn's tongue! In the summer, I have to provide houseguests with socks so that they don't get a tongue bath.
6. "corn-on-cobbing": the act of chewing on fabric (mostly mommy's clothes) with just the front teeth, as if he is nibbling corn kernels off a corn cob

That's all I can think of right now, its almost midnight here in Germany. Hepburn is protesting bedtime by bringing me every toy in the house. I haven't switched the light off yet, that is the signal to stop and remove the toys from the couch, since it then becomes our bed. Best go do that before I am sleeping on nylabones... I can say from experience this is very uncomfortable.

Yazmin makes me chuckle while getting dressed. I always get the neck of her clothing ready to put on first. She'll come forward, bend her head down now we're ready for the arm holes of the outfit. She'll lift and hold her front left leg out to the side first, then hold out her front right leg. If its an outfit that has back legs, she'll begin again holding out the back left leg first. She does this when putting on her shoes also. I think she's a natural "lefty"

Default King is AMAZING!!

Okay, it's not so much funny as amazing.

My mom and I were in the kitchen talking and King kept barking at us. We asked him if he had to go potty, he didn't but wouldn't stop barking at us. We kind of let him go as we have large picture windows and often he barks at the birds. He kept getting more and more frantic. Finally he came running into the kitchen and tried to push us into the TV room. My mom has these automatic reclining chairs which you use a push button to make the leg part rise and fall. Somehow during the day a pillow fell under the chair and got stuck in the motor of the chair. My mom and I couldn't smell it burning but King could. We still didn't know what he wanted and in his frustration he jumped on the chair and barked and barked and began diggin into it. We went over, turned it over and saw the pillow buried in the motor and smoking as it was catching fire. That sweet little baby saved the house and potentially our lives. I just love these little babies! I was just so proud of him I had to tell EVERYONE!
