Oh I know how you feel! And it's funny, but I really miss Lexie's smell too. We go to Cabo every year & i miss her soooo much, but since we found a really great place to board her, I don't worry. She even plays with the other small dogs there, which she otherwise NEVER does. So I think she's happy. I just look at her pics & videos alot.

Whistler is so beautiful!! You'll have an awesome time!!

I hate leaving mine too. It sounds like you have a great place for Lola to stay while you're gone. I hope you have a great trip and Lola has a fun stay.

We have actually been taking seperate vacations since we got Huey (meaning, hubby goes out of town with my blessing and I stay home with dog) until we found a pet friendly beach in Fla that we intend to visit at least annually, if not twice annually.

The home sounds like a lovely Yorkie resort. I like the idea that you found out about them through your Vet and they really understand Yorkies. I have had to leave Buster home the last few times I have gone to my parents as I do not trust their dog Cody. Cody is a rescue and has issues so better safe than sorry. I only leave Buster at home with Jack. I won't even leave him at someone else's house for a play over. Neurotic LOL I guess I am. I really missed cuddling with Buster at bedtime I guess I needed a snugglepuppy

I am glad you found someone to take care of Lola. Last time I went on vacation a friend came to my house and sent me pictures though out the week of things they were doing. Also when I called she put me in speaker so they can hear my voice. It was cute. She is an animal lover too. lol

thanks guys, we have been to Whistler several times to ski, you are correct it is beautiful, it's one of our favorite places to go. They have been getting several inches of snow everyday and will continue to do so until we arrive, then I hope the sun comes out I know Lola will be safe, but I will still miss her and worry that she feels I left her for good, but regardless if she thinks if she thinks it's more fun there than our home she will be coming home with me

I am so sure she is going to miss you. maybe you should get one of those cards where you can record your voice and send it with her so they can play it for her daily so she doesnt forget her mama is coming home!!

Our ski pictures from the last 10 years are starting to look all alike. Here are two photos from 2004, LOL our new ones will probably be identical if we take any since I will be wearing the same outfit. I wear my ski stuff about 7 times a year so they never seem to wear out, and with bags being so expensive to check I now only bring one outfit. My husband had a pair of grey ski bibs when I met him 25 years ago, they finally fell apart last year so we left them at Steamboat. Good thing he started looking through is stuff early since we forgot, so yesterday I was dashing around trying to find a new pair, I think he got his money's worth out of the grey pair

When at Whistler you are often skiing above the clouds, it's a pretty cool feeling to look down at clouds instead of up at them.

I am the same way. BUT... over the years, the vacations have gotten a little easier to bear. I can go away for a week now w/o my boys and be ok. LOL So proud of me! haha This past Nov we went on a cruise and we left a day earlier and came home too late at night to get the boys, so I had to sleep 2 nights at home w/o my boys. I HATED that! I genuinely miss them SOOO much when they are not home with me.

I could sleep with the hubby nekkid again for a week! sorry TMI LOL I went to the bathroom alone.... for a whole week! I didn't worry about getting home in time to feed them, or take them out. It was kind of nice ... but just for a week! Anything more and I get sad like they think I forgot them! NEVER!!!
