| ![]() How big is big enough to jump? I know a lot of you with steps have smaller yorkie. Maggie is a 10 pound yorki poo. She jumps onto my cushioned lane cedar chest and the onto my bed. My bed isn't high. It's pretty old so it's not pillow top or any of that stuff. It's the old standard height. It's only a few inches higher than the chest. She jumps on and off the sofa too. When she is playing with her boyfriend she flies on and off the sofa when they are playing. I hope that being a little bigger she won't be as likely to get hirt. we have wood floor in the bedroom, but the part where she jumps has area rug. |

| ![]() Our bed is about 3 feet high from bed top to floor we do not use steps but Charlie uses his crate to get up on the bed, I have it covered so he dont slip or skid off but is it about 1 1/2 feet tall so he jumps to the crate then to the bed. but he does not use the crate to get down he just jumps, I am concerned about this although Charlie is larger in size I still worry about his legs. but then I am not sure what I would do even if I had steps for the bed as he jumps off of all kinds if things he is like a cat he walks the back of the couch lays at the top of the recliner but if he takes the mind to he jumps. Free access to the bed??? Free access to everything!!! LOL

| ![]() Yazmin's been sleeping in my bed since the age of 3 months and uses a ramp to get up and down. If I'm home, I allow her to have access to my bed at any time she chooses. She likes to take her mid-morning and afternoon naps at the foot of my bed with her favorite plush toy. ![]() If I have to leave her alone, she's stays in my kitchen and has a regular bed, plus I toss her Cloud Nine bed in a corner also. I have a 4 Poster bed that's extremely high but I wasn't able to find pet steps that were long enough to reach the top of my bed anywhere! I finally found a Seller on eBay who made standard or custom length indoor ramps for pets. I had a choice of 6 shades of carpet for the center, and any color of stain I preferred for the side rails to choose from also. The side rails are made of oak and the center has a low plush carpet on the ramp. Yazi was hesitant to go up or down the ramp in the beginning but after coaxing her with a few treats, she was flying up and down the ramp like a champ within an hour! ![]() I'm so happy I chose the ramp over pet steps, she's never tripped or fallen once in 2 years. ![]() This site makes custom ramps for pets also. | ![]() Lola is adorable laying on her window perch and what a beautiful view! Lollie and Peppy both have free access to my bed via the Snoozer car seat. The one I bought is too large for my Mini Cooper so I brought it in the house and it has become the favorite bed - even more so since it's heated ![]() |
