An important aspect of this forum is the wonderful members who care passionately about yorkies and want to ensure new yorkie parents have the tools and knowledge to raise healthy, happy dogs. Heather's summary of the situation was both insightful and her information helpful to new members who may be confused about an over-emphasis on size and other issues that have come up recently.

I want what's best for my little guy and respect the wisdom and experience of so many long-time members here and their continuing efforts to educate.

PERFECT example.

You are disrespectful to those giving you advice you DON'T want to hear and you are disrespectful to all of these new members by the wrong information you are passing on and acting like you are a small dog/Yorkie expert.

Fortunately for these new members, all of your posts are up along with all of your comments like the one above. I just hope that they read through the pages of your threads long enough to see why so many of us are upset.

I am a new member here. I DO understand! I too have been upset with her obsession with weight & size. I personally think shes posting these threads to get a rise out of everyone. Maybe she truly is upset her 6 pound Yorkies not going to fit in her purse. IDK but I seriously want to "unsubscribe" to all of her threads.

A nice feature on this forum is the ignore list.

Pooky, dear pooky....

I would like to exercise my own rules but cannot so I must be polite. You have repeatedly made members feel uncomfortable.... we fear for the safety and well being of your precious baby. Your initial intent when you first joined YT was to learn what size your baby would mature to, and now it seems, you may be out of control. You may want to take a breath, sit back, and re-evaluate the reasons you are here. You may also want to quit attacking members who are not trying to attack you rather trying to head warning to others that things your are saying may not be the best advice to take..... You have said things in post that could actually put yorkie babies in harms way. Please, quit taking so much offense and just back off..... we would love you to join us here..... but please take our advise too!!!! This is a forum....you give advice, you get advice...please weigh each carefully.....

Their problem is that I haven't asked for THEIR advice. It's unsolicited, that's why they're on my ignore list.

Enough is enough, move on.

Pookie you have asked for advice and people are really trying to help. I have PM's where you asked for my advice. People are trying to respond nicely and you are being unduly rude to some longtime members here. Like I said I will pray for you but I will refrain from trying to help anymore. I will continue to pray for your pup but I truly am done.

I have to laugh because in all my time here, Ive rarely seen people post forum rules the way you have.... I may be overstepping here.. (Admin I apologize if I am), but are you for real????

Sending a pm is private not public, starting a separate thread and unsubscribing from my own threads and starting fresh ones because i don't fully agree with some of you is another. This thread, someone asked ME about how i fed my dog raw, not you, or all of you who highjacked this thread with your unsolicited advice and hassasment.

Yes, go back and read this thread...i did NOT inquire for your advice about feeding raw today.

pookybear 02-18-2013 12:35 AM

To set the record straight. I don't want your help raising my puppy. I wanted to share ideas, watch the growth and development of other puppies Pooky's age.

I'll say this for the other newbies some of you have swarmed and shut down. Unsolicited advice, isn't wanted. If a newbie has a different concept than you, be courteous, let other like minded members chat without being rude and interrupting.

Yes i am and i did report this harrassment to the admin. I've read other threads where newbies were swarmed with critisim. I happen to really want to follow this thread and these puppies but you guys made a stinkin mess of it.

nanahas3 02-18-2013 01:09 AM

So you know we had already figured out you were reporting us and as admin has already told you. Don't post telling other posters what we can or cannot say that is their job not yours. Noone hijacked your thread. You were giving advice some of us disagreed with. No sense name calling.

You guys harrass and you know it. I have better things to do. Will not converse with you any longer.

nanahas3 02-18-2013 01:29 AM

Noone is harassing anyone here. All are concerned for the welfare of these beloved Yorkies. If you take the time to read the forum you will see that 99.9 percent of the member care foremost about the well being of these little ones. If one is sick we ban together to help and pray for them. If one dies we all cry for them. If one is lost we all do everything in our power to see to it they are found. That is one of the greatest things about YT is the love for the breed we share. Most of us when we make a post expect and accept the advise given in the nature it is given. I am sorry if you don't like it if someone posts differently than what your stated opinions are but that is what happens on a forum. It is also how we learn, from a good healthy debate. Getting all defensive and treating others badly does nothing to help anyone. Now I am going to bed. God bless and hope you can read back through your threads and realize that it was you who caused all this concern with your own comments and people were only trying to help you.

Then why do you have 5+ NEW threads asking for advice??

Sweetie, you asked me in both a PM and in a public thread for raw feeding advice so it is very much "solicited."

I'm sure in a few posts you will say that you are "over this thread" as you have with your others and start a new one, but I do hope that you will take the time to sit back and re-read what everyone is saying to you.

I'm not sure how many more times or how many more of us it is going to take for you to understand that we are all telling you we are concerned for your pup and that we all care.

But soon people are going to get tired of it and make their own conclusions.

Raw Feeding: Some Simple Facts and Advice For You & Your Dog

I'm not sure why he said that. I was a little worried cause he only gained 4 oz in the 3 weeks between his visits and commented that I was hoping he'd make it to 5 lbs. My vet just said he would probably be tiny. So maybe he based it on his weight gain? As far as being a light eater I'm not sure. This is my first small dog ever. He eats a little less than 1/2 a cup a day I would guess. I do offer him food several times throughout the day but he usually only easts once in the morning and once in the afternoon. HOWEVER, he is ALWAYS looking for something. He is a garbage disposal and eats anything he can find. I am constantly having to dig stuff out his mouth. Not inside so much (I try to keep my floors very clean) but outside is a nightmare. I also got a harness for him and that has helped some cause it is easier to get him away from stuff. Point is you'd swear he was starved! And I guess I should stress that he is NOT housebroken (the puddle I just cleaned confirmed this) he has to be taken outside immediately upon leaving the kennel. But I really don't have to worry about accidents when he is confined. I do not let him roam the house freely (I watch him like a hawk) because he is sneaky. Ok so he's downright awful lol... Grabbing whatever he can't have and hauling off where I can't reach him! I told someone if he wasn't so darn cute id throw him out. J/k of course but he drives me batty most days! So I am very diligent about preventing accidents in the house but not always successfully.
