Most pups outgrow this, but if they didn't, I would definitely try a food switch in an adult. If they are eating their poop as an adult, it could mean undigested protein is in the poop. Many people here are very happy with raw. | Alot of puppies eat their own poop. This is a behaviour they learn from their mothers, as their mothers eat their babies poop. The quickest way to break your pup is to get a product from your vet. You sprinkle it on your dogs food. It is odorless & tasteless, until it passes through the dog. It makes the poop taste awful. I had a Boston Terrier that would poop & immediately turn around & eat it. I called the Vet, he had me come in & pick up this powder. It worked the very first time. My pup turned around to eat her poop, spit it out, sneezed a couple of times & NEVER did it again. The vet said it could take a couple of times but it only took one time use for my puppy. |
