13 weeks! What did your Yorkie weigh?

Piper was 13 weeks on Monday. She was weighed at the vets today at a whopping 3.3 pounds (lol). Her father was 4 lbs and mother 6lbs. According o the growth chart she should be 6.5-7lbs as an adult which I believe (according to the growth chart I found online) is 23 weeks. So if correct, I'll see if its accurate 10 weeks from now.

Some babies grow to 12-24 months...so you never know. Charts aren't really the best way to judge. In fact, I think that they're probably only accurate about 10% of the time.

I hope to see lots of pictures of your baby posted!

That's true. Kaji was just 6 lbs at 12 months. And by just I mean barely 6 lbs. I took him in as soon as he joined my family and the vet informed me, not only is he healthy, but to expect him to put on some more weight. Whatever the amount was, what he weighed at 18 months was his healthy adult weight. I took him back at 18 months for another quick checkup, and Kaji was a healthy and slim 7 lbs.

Most grow much longer.....up to 18 months.

My boys were smaller until about 18 months actually! Fletcher was 6lbs and Dex was 4lbs. Then they had a growth spurt around 18 months and Fletcher was 9lbs and Dexter was 5.5lbs. NOW.... they are 7 years old and a little more 'fluffy' than they should be.... Fletcher is 13lbs (Vet would like to see him at 11lbs) and Dexter is 7.5 and he should be 6.5lbs.

At 9 weeks they were 2.2lbs and 2.0lbs.
