| When it comes to Kaji I'm a big push over. He has me wrapped around his little paw. He gets carried all of 2 seconds. He immediately asks me to put him down.

![]() When Becca wants to be carried, SO does Ickey. He thinks he should be first and foremost with everything (typical Puppy). Try handling THREE of those Retractable Leashes and two Dogs in your arms, while you have a 13 lb terror (Sneakers), running back and forth, trying to sniff of every bush in the neighborhood. As you, anything they want, they got it !

| Our yorkie Quila liked to run at a young age. I do not like to run. So I bought a bicycle and taught her to run beside me on a leash at about 6 months. Now it is her favorite thing. Last summer we ran over 600 kms according to my Iphone. She weighs 10.5 pounds and is very lean though. Her legs are not stubby. She will easily go 7-8 kms. I NEVER pull her....she is ALWAYS ahead of my bike. I have no idea what her limit would be....our record is 11 kms in a run and she still comes home and plays. It is excellent exercise for BOTH of us! |

| I watch these marathon runners in Houston, practicing running around the Medical Center....I have seen them forget all about the poor little Yorkie they are dragging along on a leash behind them, at all hours of the day, regardless of the heat and humidity....all fit and trim and glowing with sweat, while that poor little dog is stumbling, running as best it can, tongue lolled out, ears hanging sideways, barely able to even hold its head up, little paws burning from running on the concrete sidewalk in 96-104 degree weather.....I have actually stopped twice and pointed out that their little dog was about to die, as they drug it along behind them....they were all into their training and plum forgot that babys legs are about 4-5 inches long, and they can NOT run a 6 minute mile, or 7 miles in an hour, in the heat of the day, in 70% humidity. Please just remember you have a little dog at the end of that leash...let the little dog set the pace for your "run"...these are NOT labradors or german shepherds....if you are not getting enough out of the "Yorkie run", then add additional running times to YOUR training schedule, while your baby is "recouperating" at home! | Bella loves to power walk and jog. I let her set the pace, which kills me. LOL When she's ready to walk, we walk. I love it. Have fun. |

| YT 1000 Club Member | That's good advice. My guys are pretty big compared to most here, and there's a vast difference between how running takes place, between the hotter and cooler months. That's pronounced "Ke-Ahh", is that right ?

Probably a good thing you did! OMG...I know people are stupid, but how could you forget you brought your Yorkie 'drag racing' with you!!! ![]() ![]() I do not allow my (small) babies to walk on pavement, hot or otherwise...never on a street or parking lot, rarely on a sidewalk, and only very occasionally do they set foot on 'other people's grass'...lol. Mine 'expect to' and get 'carried' to and from everywhere. I'm weird...I know! ![]() ![]()
