| ![]() Alisha... With all this "pawprint painting" Stella is doing maybe you should put paper on the floor and paper on the walls...perhaps you could sell her artwork. EAU DE STELLA...also..as a child protection worker sometimes we work with people who have strong odors or go into very smelly houses...Ive been taught a dab of Vick's Rub under the nose does the trick...heehee maybe your GE box will have a jar in it!!!! ![]()

| ![]() I wish more people followed this advice... Too many people are worried about how much it will cost. If you can't afford to take your pup to the vet, don't get a dog ![]()

You would think I would be used to this since Guinness did this as a puppy too ![]() PS..... FOR ANYBODY READING THIS AND DOES NOT KNOW ME... I already know what is wrong with my little girl and she has been to the vet and is on med's and was on medicine food until last night and as I can now tell her tummy was just not ready to be off that food even thought she still keeps sneaking to her brothers dish and stealing more BUT I know husband will still freak out and take her to the vet... so with that being said... IF YOUR PUPPY IS SICK PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THEM TO THE VET AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON SUCH THINGS AS CHECKING THERE GUMS FOR ILLNESS WARNING SIGNS AND CHECKING ELASTICITY OF THEIR SKIN FOR WARNING SIGNS OF DEHYDRATION!! I do not want anybody new to see my joking around and not knowing how I kid and joke to just think, well she didn't take her puppy to the vet and everything is fine with her's!!!

| ![]() As stated please go to the Vet. From experience I can tell you these little guys dehydrate fast!!! My four year old Yorkie had a case where she was vomitting, 4 times in two hours when I could not get fluids in her. Off the ER Vet we went. If you don't have one now start planning on either an emergency fund, or a credit card specifically for cases where your Yorkie may need care immediately.

There are very experienced yorkie owners here who give excellent advice. However, a sick baby needs to see a doctor!

| ![]() Alisha, I think you should start some of your posts with : Caution the following is a joke, and or sarcasm and a sense of humor is need to continue reading. Some people need to be told, 'hey this cup of coffee I am handing you, is very hot, please do not squeeze the paper cup until the lid pops off. Doing so, may result in a painful burns to the lap area !'

![]() ![]() ![]() Yorkie Talk is a wonderful plethora of information. Hopefuly it helps us recognize symptoms earlier. If in doubt GO to the Vet ! When we are afraid it human instinct to seek out reassurance, we want someone to say, 'yes that happened to me and it turned out ok.' We old timers are not being mean, we have been there often enough with our own Yorkies and know the best answer is often an urgent Go to the Vet.

| ![]() Shouting This From The Housetops: Listen to this poster and just take your dog to the vet! If your dog is having these type symptoms, he's miserable and, if nothing else, needs something to settle his stomach and/or help with the diarrhea to keep him from dehydrating!!! It may be nothing or it could be life-threatening but your dog needs something to help him feel better and possibly other treatment, just as you would do for a sick child. Just because he might play between bouts of vomiting/diarrhea, continue to eat, drink, etc., but still keeps up those symptoms, doesn't mean he's not suffering or not ill. Please understand that. Dogs very often hide illness and pain as part of their canine nature and heritage and try to function as normally as possible. They often carry this off so well we don't even know how badly their condition has progressed until they are quite ill and can no longer manage to cover their situation. So I add my voice to OP and all of the others - take your dog to the vet when having these kinds of symptoms. Please.
