Slow feed bowl vs treat puzzles

It took max a bit to figure out the Paw Hide toy but got the hang of it. But like Michelle's dogs my boys really fought over it. Max got really aggressive and wouldn't let cooper near it. A brawl started and I've never seen Max behave like that! I took the toy away and 1/2 hour later they were laying in the kitchen together crying to have it back. Ugh, kids.

haha. What a cute story. These little guys are something. They love things they have to work for. I went back to Amazon a while back and got a second treat/kibble dispenser that I think I can easily open and put his kibble in. It's 7" long and probably heavy but I think he will enjoy batting and rolling it all over to get his dinner. He just loves things like these kinds of toys and loves a challenge more than anything, especially when food is the reward! I like to keep rotating his food delivery methods to keep him busy honing his doggie skills to get his meals. He will look up at me when he's working on his dinner and he's just dog-laughing and so happy.

We got the Shuffle Bone Puzzle and the Kong Wobbler came yesterday and I opened the box today. Tibbe knew the box was for him as I told him it was a "present" and had "toys" in it for him so he spent a great deal of time yesterday and last night climbing all over it. He well knows the words "present" and "toys" and that the second come in the first! Box was a bit worn by today! Anyway, the Kong Wobbler is way to heavy and won't stay down on its side to let out the contents so I'm passing it along to Tex, my son's big dog.

But the Shuffle Bone Puzzle was a winner from the time I gave it to him this afternoon. He's already down to less than about 3 mins. to get them all out. He is obsessed with playing with it and keeps wanting it reloaded with his kibble. I've got to get him more of these type puzzles and load them all up and let him work for all his meals again the way he used to. He'll love it. Thanks so much for the heads-up.
