| How often does your yorkie throw up? Joey goes through these "phases" where he doesn't throw up for a long time, and then it seems like he'll throw up twice a day for two days and it will stop. He's been to the vet a lot, so I know he's probably just coughing up dust balls or something...but I am just wondering if any of your dogs seem to throw up often? |

Gus has only vomited twice. One because he was playing too roughly and drand A LOT of water and the other time he got sick trying to pass a ear plug or yeah and he also vomited once when his sugar level got too low. But Nurtical did the trick. I did have a Pom who always vomited. She would get sick on car rides, on my bed, when scarde, or playing too roughly. The vet said she was also fine. Didn't ever know why she did it so much.

| My dogs often throw up in the summer when they eat grass. It doesn't make them sick. They just end up with a piece in their throat that makes them gag. My cats even did this. Knock on wood (it's winter) my Yorkie hasn't thrown up yet.....which surprises me the way he gulps food down. Carol Jean |

| Nope, not very pukey... Wosie has only thrown up once, and that was last week. I have no idea why, and it wasn't much, more like a spit up than a throw up. She was fine before and after. If your pup vomits a regularly you probably should speak to your vet. Good luck!

| I don't know if this is something all dogs do, or just mine.. But I have a larger dog (She's a mutt) who is trained to do her "business" outside. If we're gone all day and she doesn't get to go outside at her regular time, she'll throw up rather than go potty inside the house...Which is not all that great. I'd rather clean up poop than puke, but I guess it shows we did a pretty good job house training her.

| Shelby hurled more often when she was younger, rarely anymore. (morning bile) It seemed to happen on an empty stomach the day after she ate too many gunks. carpet pieces, dust balls, dried worms, brick, wood, cement...but she doesn't eat her poop YAY Now I keep her gated in small areas of my house so she can't get to anything "extra" on the floor. I can't let her in the backyard without backup to help me control her. Makes me crazy. I found that if I limit her gunk intake and feed her FOOD immediately in the morning, the hurling stops. I talked to the vet about it and she said it happens sometimes, may have acid stomachs like some humans. she suggested giving her a little plain yogurt at bedtime, then feeding her early in a.m. if it is food he is vomiting up I don't know what causes that. good luck |

| The only times Kacee threw up was one time a week after I had her when she had pulled the shell of a bug out of rocks and ate it. It didn't stay down long. Then she had a really bad time teething and she threw up a little a couple of times and that's it.

| I'd say that Stewie throws up about once a month. Usually after he's been outside eating grass.
