Another dog lost due to hotel staff

Another thought...perhaps there might be a YT member in the area you are staying that you could trust w pupsitting while you are w the in-laws???? Scary scary...everything is these days!

You know-that sounds like an EXCELLENT idea! Maybe it could be the start of a new "thing" here on YT- a service that members can use, because who loves Yorkies more than someone that is a "parent" of one, and understands what it is to worry about their "kid" when on a trip!

Lol that's kinda what I was thinking....I very rarely leave w out R n R just because of the fact nobody can take care of them like I can...and no way are they going in a kennel...however...I am learning....it appears other yorkie mom n dads are a lot like me...hypersensitive to the dangers of/cautions needed in having a little dog, even some more than me.

Was the hotel held accountable for losing the Chi?

I'm always scared something like that will happen so I never leave mine unattended in a hotel. If I'm going out I try to stick to dog friendly places or sneak them in a carrier. I just don't feel safe leaving them in a hotel all alone where anything could happen.

OMG. This is so sad and tragic. If the hotel doesn't have this in writing (allowed to take dogs from room), that could be a major lawsuit. We bring our dogs to hotels and I always worry...but a lot of times, we just don't leave them alone in the room bc we worry about barking.

I hope by some miracle she finds her baby.

my vet charges $6.00 per day to leave your pet maybe you could find a vet in the area that you are going to??

I would never leave mine alone at a hotel/motel while on vacation. It is irresponsible- IMO. The dogs could damage property or disturb others- Not to mention get stolen.

This is super idea to build on!! I know if I was NOT breeding and just had my little pets, I would be more than happy to have the opportunity to provide a safe haven for a YT member's pet if they needed that service while here in Houston.....we could develop a "list" of people and their location and contact numbers that other members could look at.... I would think we would have to have the information somehow in a part of this forum where murderers and rapists could not just go through, getting contact infor and addresses....it would have to be set up safely....no step for you guys that eat, sleep and breathe this computer stuff!!!
