| My pups will never have bully sticks. My vet is totally against them. They can cause GI upsets, choking and obstructions. Anything I need to sit and watch as closely as others do is just not something I want for my pups. One accident could be the last one. My pups get Nylabones and the ones who are chewers love them. I get the Dura Hard ones. I am afraid of any chew that is digestible.

| Mine love bully sticks! I use a king toy to stick them in so there isn't a choking risk. But, I still beer leave them unattended with one!

YT Addict | I wish I could give them to my two but my little guy had problems digesting them. His poop looked like it had a wire in it. I took them away and gave them durahard chews and deer antlers and he hasn't had any problems since. He's very small so maybe that was the reason he had problems. I have drywall chewers too. They chewed right down to the corner metal. I'm glad to hear my two little angels aren't the only ones with that habit. LOL! I'm hoping they outgrow it soon!

| My two love bullysticks. I only let them have them when I am home to supervise. Hard to miss, since they like for me to hold them for them to chew. Max lies on my arm and "holds" my hand still with his paws. Abby likes for me to run some hot water over the end of the bullystick to get it started so to speak. She is smaller (just over 5 pounds) so sometimes the twists (three braided together) are a little to big for her mouth. I also get mine from Bestbullysticks.com - they are all natural and made in the USA. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Ha ha, I use to think that too, but seeing how my babies love them I changed my mind, or at least I try to not think about it!

| I'm sold on the bully sticks. My girl was a destructive chewer and a terribly sneaky thief before I started buying them. She would steal things out of closets and off of the end tables, out of purses, just about anything she could get her teeth on. I knew better than to give her rawhide but didn't know what other choices were. Since she has had them she has stopped stealing and destroying things. I do have a concern with some of the companies that make them though. Some of the sticks being sold are just too soft and the dog ends up actually eating the stick. That is not the purpose of a chew stick and it can make some dogs sick. Gracie is a 5 pounder and I buy her the regular thickness 12" bully sticks. They are as big as she is but she doesn't mind a bit. They are hard enough that she cannot bite a piece off. She can just soften the end and it takes her quite a bit of chewing to do that. I get the sticks from Best Bully. The other brands that I have tried were just too soft and she actually got diarrhea from the Red Barn brand. |
