As a breeder I have heard that the females are priced more due to them being the ones that have the pups. I don't know if that is true or not as I don't follow that type of pricing. Generally for me all pet pups are the same price regardless of their sex. My only price difference is if they are going for just pets or for showing then I have different prices for both.

I've had a boy for six years and he's with me all the time, loves to cuddle and give kisses. My new girl pup loves her daddy most. She runs from me and won't cuddle at all with me. I think she thinks I'm the bad guy cuz I dress her, brush her, do baths, give meds, so she runs from me. Makes me kinda sad cuz I really wanted her to be close to me. I hope shell change her ways later!

I read somewhere that Yorkie females love their families but males love everyone! I have a little boy and that seems true to me so far.

My Micah and Yogi are my babies, the girls all love dh and stay in the recliner with him watching tv

See, I really want one that is loving and wants a lot of cuddle time. Im really looking for a companion - type dog so it sounds like males are more like that...

I think either way, you will be happy with a Yorkie- they are a very special breed.

Like someone metioned, find a breeder and talk to them about the personality. Or you can always adpot!!

Whatever you do, I wish you luck- I hope you find that special little baby that you are looking for!

I once read that Yorkie Females say "What can you do for me today?" and Males tend to say "What can I do for you today?" I have a very loving little man who loves to give kisses. My daughter has a female that is very particular about kisses but smiles when she sees you!!!! Who's to know??????

I'm a fan of male dogs and it doesn't matter the breed. I just find that they are more tolerating of children, affectionate and fun. I think female dogs are great too, I've only had one in my lifetime. I think her personality allowed for easier training and so that's what I like over the genders.

I have a boy and am smitten with him. He's the man of my house. I only get bored with him when I can't put him in pink.

I have only had a female Yorkie and she has been a real treat. She is full of spunk but she is also a little love bug. She was extremely easy to house train.
