Any Newbies Thinking about Becoming Donating Members?

I'm glad to hear you've noticed how many loving/caring people are here, and especially that you've learned here and gotten wonderful advice. We try our best, admin/mods and the members, to make YT a great place. Like in real life, there is a huge variety of human beings here and of communication styles. We all have to try to tolerate the differences in each other, even when they make us feel like banging our heads against a brick wall. Every single one of us here encounters other members who don't do things the way we'd prefer. So, none of us have a pass on that feeling.

Also, feel free to report any posts that you think are breaking the rules that YT has in place. Those rules do strive to maintain some boundaries in the treatment of all members. I hope you post more so we can get to know you better. Even though some of your words were a bit harsh and a little out of line (which I thought you didn't like to see, in others), I still respect and appreciate your very honest opinion .

i love the website, and will gladly donate. Nothing i posted was meant to be harsh. Its factual, and meant to be a reminder of what yorkietalk was supposed to be. Do you really think everyone feels welcome here? Its turned into an elite webite. We spend our times with man yorkie parents who have never heard of yorkietalk... while we get a ton of info here, i would never send my friends here, for far they might get abused. wake up

Calling our members "old bitties" in your previous post in this thread is not factual. It is harsh, name calling, mean, disrespectful, confrontational, and uncalled for. If you are truly concerned (as you say you are) with the site being more positive for you and others - I'm not sure why you would then denigrate our members in the same breath. To me, that appears like you're trying to start the very kind of thing you say you're against.

If you'd like to donate, you are welcome to and it's appreciated. However, you aren't allowed to call our members names. If you have further comments regarding this discussion, you are welcome to PM Admin or Mods. Thanks.

OK, I'm totally lost here. If all I get called is an "old Bitty" I think that's pretty good! I work in a severe emotional handicap unit, and I get called waaay worse than that daily. Thick skinned is the key, because I get an appology soon as they calm down. This is a nice site, just have to roll with it sometimes and remember people are emotional when it comes to the pups. Some are better at typing it and being less harsh/ aggressive about it, same thing said but typed it in a nice way. Just remember we're all here for the same reason, our pups! *** kicks soapbox away**

So glad your donating too. So much info would be lost if we had to sreamline this site to keep it going.

Oh how funny, yeah making an avatar is way harder than writing code and stuff! Xtine, I don't remember her, I know we had several people making them, Red98vett and peanut to name a few. Anyway, I love your avatar, and usually I can add pictures to one and keep the old frame, but I'm not sure I could in your case, the lighting effect she made is very touchy.

I would love to donate, just can't do it right now. As soon as my hubby gets back on his feet I will. He lost his job and I'm the only one working right now. uggg. I pray every day that he will find something and our lives will get back to normal. We are doing ok, and have money to take care of Bailey and Oliver but all the little extras like eating out and entertainment have been put on hold. My son works for the cable company and we get a great deal on it other wise I wouldn't even have this! lol (thank god he moved back home so I could get the deal)
I want to thank everyone for all the great information I get on this site! You guys are wonderful!
